If God is Your Co-Pilot - Swap Seats

If we let God have absolute control of our lives then there is no way that we can go wrong, we will have God’s blessing in our lives and not only that but His protection as well…and all the riches of Heaven just waiting for us when we come home!
If God is Your Co-Pilot - Swap Seats
How many times in our life have we been the ones that have tried to pilot the plain and not let God do the piloting? How many times have you told the Lord that what He wanted you to do wasn’t good enough, you wanted something different?

If we take a look at our churches today we will see exactly that…a whole group of people that say that they love the Lord (and a lot of them really do) and that they want to serve Him and have Him shine through in their lives, but how many of these people are letting God do the talking? If we take a close look then we would see that many of these people are so concerned about what they want to accomplish in their lifetime that they forget to stop and listen to what the Lord has to say.

The thing that drives most Christians today is money, money, money and more money. Now money is not a bad thing to have, but it becomes a bad thing when you allow it to take a central place in your life. Many times in the Christian life, God will give you just enough to be able to go on to the next month, I have seen it in the lives of the godly people in the Bible or even the ones who were there for me as I grew up. If you see a man that is a true man of God then God has probably given him that money so that he can start a work that will bring glory to God, because as you should know, that is why we were put on this earth to begin with.

If we read in Psalms 37:7, 16 we would find:
"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way….A little that a righteous man hath is better then the riches of many wicked."

How many times have people come home from working abroad and confessed that, while they were ignoring God and chasing after money, they fell into some terrible sins.

Don’t let money be the thing that separates you from God because it is not worth it. Why fall into sin, lose your family and maybe worse just so that you can say that you have more toys then the person next to you…remember: "the person who dies with the most toys is still dead."

In Psalms 37:18 we are told that, "The Lord knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever."

We do not need to do our own thing to be able to have a good life, all we need to do is follow God, the Bible tells us that in the will of God there will be trials but the reward will be that much greater…the phrase "If God is your copilot- swap seats" is so true, we need to stop being afraid of doing what God wants us too.

How many times in your life did you realize that God was telling you to do something but because of the circumstances, or whatever, you decided that you were going to go your own way and God was just going to have to be the co-pilot and do what you said.

What are you more afraid of, being in the perfect will of God for your life, with all of its dangers and perils but having Gods protection over you, or being on the outside of the will of God with all of the perils that come with that, not having God’s protection, running from what God would have you do? Remember Jonah?

In Psalms 37:3-7 we read: "Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday."

Yes, He is the Only True God who keeps His promises! He fulfilled what He prophesied so far, He will do so until the last day of our life, take His word for it!
