Idealistic Communication
Desire for perfection.
All through our school lives we have been taught languages and words. All our learning has been through words. Everything that we are today is because of the learning we receive from words or through words.
But the strange thing is that words are ultimately converted into pictures and are stored in our database(mind). So all words are stored as pictures.It is like a dictionary file which has a corresponding picture to every word just like a key-> value pair (my fellow software engineer friends would know).
I was wondering about the most idealistic form of communication which might not be practically possible. Just imagine I have read lots of books and I have been taken to the streets of china, to the forests of Africa and to the mountains of Kashmir just by words.
The author has a particular view in front of his eyes. The picture is converted into words in his mind, the word is put across in a book.
The receiver or the reader reads the book through the medium of words and converts it into pictures in his mind. Just imagine the miracle of life. A picture has been transferred from a particular place to a place hundreds of kilometers away to another person.Just like a pen drive or an electronic mail.
But we all know that the picture, that i as a reader gets to see can never be the same as the original picture.The gap might be narrowed if the author is very adept but it can rarely be the same.
But i would love to achieve such perfection.I want to be able to convert into words every picture that is there in front of my eye. And i want my words to show the very same picture that i get to see.
It's a privilege that i have been able to picturize the forests of Nigeria or the busy streets of London from the comfort of my room.
I want to have such a grip over words that i can show the others around me the world from my eye.So that i pass on my exact feelings to others around me.
or Probably it is just an ideal state that can never be achieved!!!I
