I Will Know That I Am Blessed

To me she holds all the beauty of nature.
I offer you my company,
And present to you the wild rose,
So as I may share your luxury,
And lose myself in your written prose,
The selflessness of your truth,
I will forever hold dear,
I shall watch over you as you sleep,
And take away the pains you bear.

I'll sing you a song from the field,
Soft and low like summer breeze,
To emphasize the way I feel,
I'll carve our love into a tree,
Amid soft drops of autumn rain,
Beneath the leaves we shelter,
As I sing of summer's last refrain,
I offer warmth throughout the winter.

The soft snow lays it's winter coat,
As solstice bells ring out their wonder,
Dark nights bring the day to a close,
Spring waits patiently around the corner,
To brighten up your smile again,
With snowdrops and daffodils,
To show the love that nature brings,
I'll place a wild rose on your windowsill.

We'll walk again by the burbling stream,
Hand in hand through the velvet fields,
Beneath the canopy of the trees,
I'll lean to you, a kiss to steal,
I'll hold you long in my embrace,
As we watch the sun lay itself to rest,
In the sweetness of your beauty's grace,
I will know that I am blessed.
