I Thought Wrong

I thought life would be different, I thought it would be fun...
I thought life would be beautiful once I could see the sun...
I thought life would give me hope without a lock and a gun...
I guess being crippled with imperfections was only the hot dog bun..

Stupidity gave me faith that nothing would come undone..
Immaturity led me to a very long run...
Lack of experience shielded me with the ignorance that came along..
Stubbornness planted the unpleasant fun..
Rudeness held me up high, where no one has ever won...

They say there's one for each of us but I guess I'm unlucky and got none...
I thought this was the end but it seems it has just begun...
I should've listened and started to run...
