I Think - About Boundaries

I dare to dream about a common sense of belonging. The common man, like myself, is tired of being dragged into the power game. We are tired of paying the price for issues that we don't fully understand or comply with...
I Think - About Boundaries
Every creation story and holy text speaks of a beginning that relates to the whole planet. Show me one that talks about the creation of one particular nation or society. Nevertheless, we battle boundaries today. It is convenient and seems like the only way to surmount the blame game and claim territory and clan. There is no denying that boundaries make it easier to govern. However...

IMAGINE THE APPLICATION OF THE SAME RULES THAT APPLY TO THE U.N.!

OR

THOSE THAT APPLY TO THE FAMILY UNIT!

Harmony is possible. In fact, I think it is the only thing that can save us from the arsenal and the destruction of life and natural resources that we are coolly palming off onto our children. But...have we come too far in the segregation of territory on the basis of location, belief system, religion and color? Complex situation. But, one we have created for ourselves.

I DARE TO DREAM OF A UNIFIED WORLD:

A code of conduct for all men...a blend of individual applications.

One government with various wings, pretty much like the federal form of government...only more laterally spread out.

Equal onus upon all societies to address the needs of global socio-economic issues.

Uniform social and economical progress within a system that benefits the world at large.

Free movement of people over boundaries.

Festivities that spread cheer every other day.

Bonding beyond caste, creed, religion and color.

Common spaces for children to mingle and learn.

I dare to dream of a world pretty much POSSIBLE.

What would it take?

More mentoring, a paradigm shift in the mental make up of politicians, unconditional belief that the remedy to our error lies in our own hands, acceptance of the fact that the passports used today are in fact to cross over vague walls that are being violated anyways, genuine display of unity.

Are we up to it?

The amalgamation is possible and would definitely be better than separation. Imagine gearing the totes and having geography lessons in the Alps! Imagine joining forces close at hand and razing terrorism instead of blaming it on one nation! Imagine sharing resources during recession and ensuring 'life for all'! Imagine reuniting with family and friends who were pawns in the partition games we have played! Imagine well fed and healthy children the world over.

Is it that difficult?

Surely, allowing a system of government that appeals to a people to continue, while remaining answerable to one central body is not impossible. Surely, meting out punitive action against the oppressive mind that causes harm to fellow humans, from one governing rostrum is not impossible. Surely, the Heads of State and Government can come together and look into the possibility.

The common man suffers for no reason in a battle that doesn't even concern him! Those who died in the 9/11 disaster in the United States weren't the ones who had ired the mad men who planned it. Those who were incapacitated and killed in the 1993 bombings in Mumbai weren't the ones who had questioned or challenged the sick minds behind the blasts. The people who died and were injured in the 2008 Marriott attack in Pakistan weren't the ones who even knew the crazy brains behind the disgusting show of cowardice.

I dare to dream and will continue to do so, for myself and all fellow humans.
