I Still Burn

For him I burn, I cry…
My heart be still
For it beats a thousands beats
For the love it seems to desire but
Pounds at the mere touch
Its stillness is a mere memory
Like his cold hands brushing over my skin
Bringing a flush to my cheeks
And passion to my eye's
A burning flame in my heart
Frozen by the empty air
Left by his presence
Tingling my skin and tormenting my soul
Left in the dark
The darkness grew inside me
And turned to hate
And opened the door to more.

For him it still burns
I will always carry a torch
Through winter and darkness
I still burn, yearn for his touch which can bring a chill to
My heart, and flush to my eyes
For now and ever I still will burn....
