I Smiled Quickly Back

"I love you." you once said to me.
"As do I my dear." I smiled quickly back.
We held each other and laughed.
We held hands and smiled.
We thought it might never end.
I said to myself, "I love this man, he’s the one"
Not even but just too much later,
You said you still loved her.
You told me you still want to be friends,
But it has to end.
I sat and screamed, cried and sobbed.
There’s only one person who stopped the pain.
The one person I knew I could trust.
You hurt me so bad,
You made me so mad.
Now ever since you left me,
I haven’t cried all but once.
That one time was because of you.
You tried to kill yourself in front of me.
You then called me up and begged and pleaded.
You said you’re sorry,
Please may I have a second chance.
And being the dumb ass, I said yes.
The next day you broke my heart once again.
Only this time, I was too pissed to even cry.
I couldn’t sob.
I was too pissed off.
You just said you couldn’t date anyone at the time.
I just sat and said, "Well then fine"
Then maybe two or three weeks later,
I thought I wanted you back.
I tried and tried,
But you said you didn’t know,
It would still be a week till you could date.
Then turned to the girl you loved,
Kissed and made up.
Then went to a different girl,
But that girl loves me too much,
And knows you’re only an ass.
I’m moving now.
And you may not ever see me again.
You hurt me person.
You hurt me deep.
Now I’m so pissed off at you,
If you were to ask me out again,
It would be just like that.
You would be out of my life for good.
Do not run to me to hide anymore.
Do not scream and cry no more.
Cuz I’m out of here,
I am out of this dramatic town.
"Goodbye." you once had said to me.
"Goodbye." I quickly smiled back.
