I Say Thank You

I say I love you to all those in my life
Who have not heard those words from me in a while.

I say thank you to those who have helped shape my life
And consciousness of what is foul.

I say thank you to the hearts
That has skipped a beat when I entered a room.

I say thank you to the ones
Who thought my life would end in doom.

Thanking those who have forced me to question
And caused me to think for myself.

Thank you for those who assumed
Tolerance was better than love itself.

Thank you to those who assured
Tomorrow is better than today.

If you allowed yourself to die
And become the ultimate lie.

Thank you for forcing me to stand up and be with me
No matter what you may have wanted me to be.

Don't tolerate me, but love me unconditionally!
