I Love You

It's a poem I wrote because I had feelings for a guy and I weren’t sure how to tell him or if I should.
I love you, but you will never know.
I’ll be wishing to hold you, knowing that I am wasting my wishes.
I love you, but you will never love me.
I hide my feelings to well.
You will never know how much I cared for you.
You will never see me shed a tear for you.
I love you, but you will never know.
My heart is aching and I am the only one that knows.
Shh… Don’t say it. I won’t believe you.
Why, you ask.
I have heard the word love and most times it’s a lie.
No, don’t look at me like that, I know what I’m feeling.
This love that I feel for you is not a lie.
How do I know, you ask.
I have never in my life felt a love like this, so warm and understanding.
When I know that you will never love me, I feel the pain in my heart.
Does it just stop there?
Of course not.
The pain spreads throughout my body.
I love you, but you will never know.
There is nothing that I can do that will make you love me.
So I will walk this world alone.
You touched my heart and soul in a way I will never forget.
I love you, but you will never know.
These feelings I feel for you I will hide and you will never see them.
