I Love You from Afar
Poetry cycle – My Teenage Years Poetry I wrote in high school Love can be so one sided….
I see you each day
I smile at you
And your eyes looking at me
Make my heart ache.
Knowing that I can only
Love you from afar.
I touched your hand the other day
My foolish heart burst in happiness
I smiled at you and you smiled back
How do I tell you
I love you from afar.
Today I foolishly waited for you by the door
You passed by holding hands with another girl
I saw the love in your eyes
My heart broke from loving you afar.
I smile at you
And your eyes looking at me
Make my heart ache.
Knowing that I can only
Love you from afar.
I touched your hand the other day
My foolish heart burst in happiness
I smiled at you and you smiled back
How do I tell you
I love you from afar.
Today I foolishly waited for you by the door
You passed by holding hands with another girl
I saw the love in your eyes
My heart broke from loving you afar.
