I Fell in Love with my Boss and Guess What? He's A Prince!!!! Chapter 2

Brian's POV

"So I hope that you two are getting along well." Cadence said as they take their seats.

"Of course." he replied smiling to all of them then at Sophia. "So how was the dancing?"

"It was fun. I tell you, if there aren’t too many people bumping to each other in the dance floor I will stay there forever." Catherine said. They all started laughing to what she said. They know that Catherine loves to dance and her favorite hobby. A hobby that she share with her boyfriend, Clarence. If she isn't so busy with her job as the marketing manager of one of the biggest companies, she's probably a dancer he thought to himself. His thoughts were stopped when he saw Sophia rise from her seat. For a moment he feared that she will go home then she said "If you will excuse me. I'll just go the ladies room."

"Sure. Want me to go with you?" Catherine asked and started to rise from her seat.

"No, It's OK. I'll be right back." she said then left.

"You think Sophia might disappear if you don't stop staring at her? Don't you dare deny it, you hadn't stopped staring at her" Avery said suddenly. He looks at him and realizes that all of them were staring at him.

"I'm not going to deny it. Is it that obvious?" he asked. They look at him with an expression that said "DUH?" and that answered my question. "I need a favor guys. I know that this will not be easy, but will you do it for me especially you Cadence and Catherine?" he asked and looks at each one of them. Their expressions turned to curiosity so he continued "You see, I haven't told Sophia about the prince thing."

"It's understandable Brian. You just met her and I can see why you don't want to tell her." Clarence said. He is Catherine's boyfriend and his best friend as long as he can remember.

"It's not that. I know that I can say that part of me to her now. It's just that, I don't want her to know about it just for a while."

"Why??" Cadence and Catherine asked.

"I want her to know me first, for what I am and not my standing. It's so refreshing when I talked to her. She talks to me as if I'm normal and doesn't try to impress me just to be in my right side. She says what she wants to say without any doubt that she will offend me. You guys know that feeling. I know that you've experienced it."

"You do know that Sophia will not be bothered by that?? She, herself experienced something likes that." Cadence said.

"I know that. Now that both she and I are getting acquainted quite well, I don't want to spring it out to her. I want her to get to know me first and then I will tell her. Please" he said to them.

"You really like her don't you?" he looks at Cadence and then she hurriedly explained "You wouldn't do this if you don't have a reason and I think the reason is that you like her. I'm right, aren't I?" Cadence has always been sharp; being one of the best lawyers it can't be helped. Right now his subject and all of them are looking at him waiting for an answer. "Yeah. I do like her." Which is really, really surprising. Then all of them smiled at him and he knows that they will keep this a secret. "Thank you." he said to all of them.

"It's nothing!" Clarence said. "But there is a problem; you do know that Sophia is the new designer of the company?"

"What Company?? Our company?? I can't believe this."

"What would you do?" Cadence asked.

"Only a few people in the company know that I'm a prince and they are pretty close to me, some of the staff might suspect but they don't gossip. I'll just tell them to keep it our secret and don't mention it."

"I hope your plan works." Avery said.

"Me too!" he said and then he heard Sophia asked "What plan??"Brian's POV

"What plan??" Sophia asked, looking at us.

Oh, God. I knew I have to answer but my mind seems to have stop working from shock. And as far as I can see, I would not be getting any help from my friends they were also waiting for an answer from the way their looking at me. I was never really a good liar and so feeling a little defeated I decided to tell her about me being a prince.

"Actually we were planning to keep something a secret." I said,

"Really?? What??" Sophia asked.

"Well. We were planning to keep a se--cret about the......."

"It's all right." Sophia suddenly interrupted. We were all looking at her, puzzled, when she continued "You don't have to tell me something you want to keep a secret. I’m sorry for being nosy, it just got me curious."

It took me a while but I eventually respond - "No... No... It’s Okay. I'm going to tell you about it." When it suddenly hit me about our plans to give a surprise party to a friend.

"We were planning to give a surprise party to a friend of ours for her birthday. Her boyfriend wants to keep it a secret to her and eventually propose." I said, giving my friend the 'just go along with it' look.

Sophia didn't seem to notice. "Ahhh, that's so sweet and romantic." she said smiling at us. Her smile is really beautiful, angelic, and I can't help but smile too.

"Come Sophia. Let's dance." Clarence suddenly said. Standing up and offering Sophia a hand. She hesitated for a bit then accepted Clarence's invitation to dance. He was staring at them as they go to the dance floor.

"That was close!!" Catherine said also staring at her cousin and boyfriend dance.

"YEah!!" I said.

"For a minute there, I thought you were going to tell her." Avery added.

"Oh, believe me. I was going to tell her about it. When that surprise party came to my mind. I hope your still with me with the plan." I said looking at them and watched Sophia and Clarence dance.

"Were still with you but I hope this won't last long. I can't seem to think of something to respond earlier. My mind went completely blank from shock and fear of being caught. And I'm not really good at keeping secrets." Catherine said.

"Don't worry. It won’t be long." I assured her.

"Why don't we dance??" I offered.

We were having so much fun and I finally have Sophia in my arms and we were dancing the night away.

"Why don't we seat? I'm tired and I really should be going. I have to be early tomorrow." she said.

"Sure" I said and we went back to our table. I was disappointed that my time with her will be over. But starting tomorrow I will be working with her and that cheered me up a bit. This is surprising I thought. How can someone you just met make you feel this way?

We were saying our goodbyes and I said to her. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Her eyes snapped at me and look puzzled.

"We forgot to tell her Brian." Clarence said.

"Tell me what??" Sophia asked.

"They forgot to tell you that you will be working with them starting tomorrow. You see here, Brian is the CEO and Clarence is vice-president of the company you are going to work for." Cadence reasoned.

"What?? You mean these are my boss???" Sophia asked clearly surprised and rattled.
