I Fell For You ~ 4

Nathan's shocked expression slowly turned into a laugh. I watched horrified. Hew was losing it. Debby became angry.
"Why are you laughing Nathan?" He stopped.
"Because I knew that you were cheating on me, I just didn't know that you were enough of a cold-hearted whore to actually have sex with some dude. I know it's not mine, we've never had sex Debby." his voice was stern now. I was relieved to hear that they never had sex.

I could see the anger in Nathan's eyes now. Debby's frown turned into a smug smile.
"I know that it's not yours but my parents and your parents believe otherwise."
"What the hell are you talking about? You told our parents that it's our kid?" Nathan was yelling now. I quickly closed the shop. No one should be seeing this argument.

"I sure did. You should have seen the look on your father's face. He's not to happy with you Nathan." she was chuckling now. I wanted to rip her face off so bad but I kept out of it.
"Why are you doing this Debby?" Nathan softened his voice. He was hurt and Debby only cared for herself. She began crying.
"You wanna know why I did it? I did it because you are with her! You dumped me for her! Don't you deny it! You were mine and she came and took you away from me! She's the selfish one!" she pointed at me. Nathan buried his face in his hands.

"Debby. I broke up with you because you cheated on me. I was going to do it before I even met her. I think you need to leave."
"It doesn't matter now. Everyone believes me!" she said then she ran out of the shop. I watched her go, my anger subsiding.

I heard broken sighs and I turned around. Nathan was taking deep breaths and pacing the floor. I jogged over to him and hugged him tightly. he hugged back, his head on my shoulder.
"What am I going to do?" he said.
"Don't worry, her plan isn't as smart as it seems. Once the kid is born, you can prove it's not yours with a DNA test. Simple."

Nathan lifted his head and put hid forehead to mine. I looked into his gorgeous green eyes.
"You believe me right?"
"Of course I do." He sighed.
"It's just, my dad, he's probably furious right now. i don't eve want to go home."
"Your parents wouldn't believe you if you told them?" He half-heartedly laughed.
"Not my dad. He hates me."
"I'm sure he doesn't hate you-"
"He does. Trust me"

"Stay with me." I offered.
"Are you kidding? I can't just stay at your place, I'd be in the way and this has nothing to do with you."
"Actually it does have something to do with me and I'm not asking, I'm telling you. Stay with me."
"You're the best, you know that?" I smiled and shrugged.
"I've been told."

We left the shop closed for the rest of the day. Nathan packed a few things before his dad could get to him and came over to my place. I put his bag in my room and joined him on the couch.
"Does your mom know about this?" I giggled.
"If I told her, she would have thought we were getting married." We both laughed and watched some TV.

Late that night, I woke up to the TV. We were both still on the couch, snuggled up to each other. I got up and tried waking Nathan up.
"Nathan, wake up." He groaned and sat up. I grabbed his hands and pulled him up. He put literally no effort in standing up so I had to use all my strength. I got him up and I started guiding him to my room, yawning on the way. He walked with his eyes closed, and I giggled. I brought him to the bed, where he collapsed and went back to sleep. I covered him with a blanket. He would get a better sleep on the bed, I would take the couch.

When I turned away from the bed, he grabbed my hand.
"Stay with me, please?" He was looking at me with pleading eyes so i crawled on the bed next to him. He put an arm around me, hugging me to his body. Together, we fell asleep.

I woke up to an empty bed. Where had Nathan gone? I sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I noticed the light on in the bathroom. The door was closed but I could hear running water. He must be taking a shower. As much as I wanted to stay when he would come out, I got off the bed and went to my mini kitchen. I made some cereal and toast- I'm not the greatest cook- and I filed up two cup of juice.

Nathan walked out of my room in fresh clothes. His hair was still wet and he ruffled it with his hand.
"Good morning. Feeling better?" I asked. He groaned in response and plopped down at the table. I walked behind him and hugged him from behind.
"Everything will be okay. You just have to believe it." I whispered, trying to make him feel better.
"Yeah, your right. Her plan wasn't thought out well, lucky for me."
"Exactly, but its kind of strange. Even the dumbest of people should be able to figure out that it won't work that way. You have to actually be the father, not some other guy."

"That is strange. You don't think she could be planning something else do you?" Nathan looked worried. How could I be sure she wasn't? She is already psycho enough.
"I honestly don't know." Nathan sighed.
We ate in silence, absorbed in our own thoughts.

"I'm sorry for what she said about you. It was wrong and it made me angry that she did that. You're none of those things." Nathan was looking at me with such care and feeling. I smiled.
"You don't actually believe I would even be hurt by what she said do you? I've been called worse and I was too worried about you to even hear what she said. I'm a tough girl, Nathan." He smiled.

"I haven't realized until now that it's been awhile since I left the Lodge." Nathan was driving as we made our way into town. Nathan was driving to a secret place that he said I would love. I really doubt he can do that considering this town is small and there aren't any Hot Topic stores nearby, but I'm giving it a shot. We drove for thirty minutes, eventually passing through the town.
"Uh, I thought you said the surprise was in the town?" He looked at me mischievously and grinned.
"Did I say that? Oops, I meant the surprise is past town."

Past town? The only thing past town was the super long highway that is a forty mile stretch to the next city. I gave up and watched as he drove for another mile. He then turned onto a dirt road that leads to the left, deeper into the forest.

Nathan told me I would love the place, and I didn't believe him. Not until I saw it right in front of me. It was so beautiful that I nearly choked on my words.
"So, what do you think?" Nathan asked.
"It's...It's...Amazing! I didn't think you would bring me somewhere so cool. I didn't think something this beautiful existed..."
"Neither did I until I saw you. You are far more beautiful than anything in this world." I blushed deeply and hid my smile.
"And...I love you." What?! ...
