I Dream Of A Baby

In all my dreams, I have felt pain.
When I felt joy I didn't feel the same.
When I dream, it feels way too real.
Carrying a baby..how does that feel?

I felt the joy when I looked down.
My stomach was round while wearing a white gown.
The wind was blowing and i gave a side smile.
I hadn't felt this joy in a while.

I felt it there. I knew for sure.
I felt it kick. I felt it stir.
I had his baby and I couldn't help but dance.
I felt so free. I felt in a trance.

Do you hear the children singing?
Do you see the toddler spinning?
Do you see the baby sleeping?
Tell me, why am I weeping?

Now I'm spinning and the baby laughs at the joy.
I hold it in my arms. Not caring if it's a girl or a boy.
You are here, you are here...
You are safe, so there is nothing to fear.

I look down on you against my no-longer-round tummy.
I kiss you on the forehead and you feel so yummy.
I hold you close and say words of love.
As the sun continues to shine above.

And I feel those hands on my shoulder and arms.
I turn to see and admire my luckiest charm.
"Hey Love, look at the beauty we made"
He kisses my lips and the world begins to fade.

Nothing else but the grass on our feet.
And also the child that tastes so sweet.
My Love hugs me from behind and I feel so great.
I want to stay here with him and fate,
And this beautiful baby in my arms always and forever.
