I Cry Alone
I don't show people every side of the rubic's cube. Some things you just want to keep to yourself.
If I'm down and out of place
Do not try to wipe my face
All my thoughts are all my own
So now I'll tell you I cry alone
Once upon a sad old time
I'd come to learn my Grandma had died
My face went blank, emotions not shown
I waited until I could cry alone
At your scorn and ridicule I will scoff
Strut around while I laugh it off
Even though the wounds are unknown
You can be sure that I'll cry alone
Maybe one day when I'm on my own
My internal struggle will have begun to show
You'll walk in and my true self will be known
Only then will I not cry alone
Do not try to wipe my face
All my thoughts are all my own
So now I'll tell you I cry alone
Once upon a sad old time
I'd come to learn my Grandma had died
My face went blank, emotions not shown
I waited until I could cry alone
At your scorn and ridicule I will scoff
Strut around while I laugh it off
Even though the wounds are unknown
You can be sure that I'll cry alone
Maybe one day when I'm on my own
My internal struggle will have begun to show
You'll walk in and my true self will be known
Only then will I not cry alone
