I Can't Explain It 4

I woke up in Duff's arms. I turned around so I could face him. His eyes were closed and a smile played on his lovely lips. My fingers brushed over them and flames ran through my body. I shivered softly and automatically his arms tightened around me, knowing I was cold. Slowly I leaned in and pushed my lips to his, to impatient to wait til he woke up.I started to pull away but his arms tightened and his lips were back on mine. I yelped in surprise then slowly melted into his kiss. My phone started buzzing on the night stand and I pulled away. "Good morning." I whispered. He winked and watched me as I grabbed my cell.
"Hello?" I said my voice still husky.
"Hey!" Lenny's voice greeted. "Where are you."
I gave him the address so he wouldn't freak. "Im sorta..living here now."
"With..a..guy?"
"Um..yes." there was a long pause on the other line.
"Do I know him.."
"No."

"Can I come meet him?"
"Um..." I thought this through..would it be a good idea? "Will you be nice?"
"...Yes." he finally gave in.
"Ya! I think you'll like him." I said grinning at a puzzled looking Duff.
"Uh huh.." he sounded unconvinced. "Ill be over there soon." -click-
"My friend Lenny is going to come meet you guys."
"Your ex?" he asked wide eyed.

"We dated for like...a week and we figured we were better friends. You better be nice!" I poked him in the back as I walked to the bathroom to shower.
"Ya ya." he called back and dove under the covers.
I rolled my eyes and closed the door. I pulled my pajamas up and let my hair down. In the mirror was a girl with bright gray eyes looking extremely happy. I had always felt incomplete and now I know why.
I jumped into the shower and the hot water slid down my back. It felt amazing. I cupped my hands so the water splashed off my hands to my face. I stood there thinking when two cold hands grabbed my waist. I yelped and spun around to see a naked Duff grinning evily. "Jesus! You scared me!"
"I know." his grin widened as his arms looped around me waist and pulled me to him. I felt a blush crawl over my cheeks. His dark eyes stared into mine and my heart was thumping hard. His muscled chest was pressed against mine. The water making his hair cling to his forehead. He pulled my mouth to his. He pulled me up so my legs were wrapped around his hips and my back was pressed up against the cool wet wall of the shower. I felt him slide into me and his lips muffled my scream. We made love for the first time in at least 5 years. It was bliss inside four walls.

We crawled out of the shower when the water ran cold. We got dressed and I heard the doorbell ring. I flew down the stares and threw open the door and there stood Lenny. His thumbs were hooked in his front pockets and his face was pointed to the ground. "Len!" I shouted and he looked at me. A smile spread across his face and he grabbed me and hugged me.
"Don't just disappear again!" he murmured in my ear.
"Ya ya. Come in! I want you to meet my boyfriend Duff."
I opened the door wide to reveal Duff and Lenny stepped up. They grabbed hands roughly and I could tell they were trying to act nice since I was around but really they were sizing each other up. The whole family welcomed Lenny warmly and I took him aside and told him the whole story about Duff and I. His eyes were wide and he looked like a puppy dog.

"Wow.." is all he could say after. I nodded understanding his surprise. "So...you..love him?" he asked.
I looked at Duff talking to Kathy "Ya.. Ya Len I really do." Duff felt me looking at me and smiled warmly.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO US?!" He shouted all of a sudden. The whole family turned to us.
"Lenny..calm down..we broke up like...two years ago! We agreed we were better off best friends."
"No. YOU decided we were better off friends! I've been dropping hints for.. forever! The flowers on your doorstep, that was me. Not your grandpa. When you had nightmares I hugged you while you were sleeping, not your friend spending the night. It was ALWAYS me." Lenny had tears running down his face.
"Oh Lenny, you have tons of girlfriends!" I was getting angry.
"Yes, all to make YOU jealous!"

I stopped. His eyes probed mine. "I-I'm sorry-"
"Don't even say you're sorry." He looked down to the ground. "DON'T EVEN SAY IT! If you were sorry, you would leave HIM and come back to me like it's supposed to end up." He grabbed my hand and clutched it to his chest. "Please..."
I stood there staring at him. The whole family gathered in the door way watching this. I tore my eyes off of Lenny's to look at Duff.
His eyes were sad and he nodded as if to say 'do what makes you happy.'
"No. Don't look at him!" Lenny grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him. "Look at me, the least you could do is look at me. Now. Choose. Him or me. If it's him, Im walking. Don't ever talk to me again."

He was going to make me choose...this made me mad. "I pick him." I said nonshalantly while gesturing to Duff.
"What!?" This was the first time Lenny had been refused.
"Yep!" I tore my hand from his and went to be encircled by Duff's arms. "I choose him."
Lenny didn't say a word, he just spun on his heels and stalked out of the house.
"Sorry about that guys.. I had no idea-"
"Its fine sweetheart! He looked like such a nice gentleman, we aren't angry." Kathy comforted. The whole family agreed and the little kids hugged me.
"That man was scary." Little Greg whispered in his scottish accent. I nodded and hugged him tight.
I stood back up and walked over to Duff. "Im so sorry that happened babe."
"It wasn't your fault. I feel bad for the Lad." he leaned down and kissed my forehead comfortingly. "Just remember I'll love you no matter what."
I nodded and nuzzled his neck.
"But I am glad you chose me." He added. I giggled.
"I will always, choose you."

His eyes shined and he leaned in kissing me softly on the lips, hypnotizing me. "I love you Duff and that will never ever change. Even if it takes me 5 years to remember it, I will always come back."
Duff's eyes filled with tears and I wiped them away.
"You better." He teased and I grinned at him.
"Or what?" I challenged.
He shrugged and hugged me tight. "I will never ever cuddle you again."
The mere thought of this made me shiver. "You got me! Ill come back!" I surrendered. "Did you have any girlfriends while I was gone?"
"Um..what matters is we're together now!" He mimicked me.
I opened my mouth in shock and smacked his chest. I spun around and walked away from his arms.
"Oh come on Elle! I was joking!" He said catching me and pulling me back to him. I searched his eyes for traces that he was lying but found none.
"I hate when you joke around."
"No you don't." he grinned and started kissing me again.

***Lenny's POV***

I had never felt heartbreak before..and now that I have I never want to feel it again. I couldn't find the heart to leave so I stood by my car for a while. I wanted one last glance of Eleana. I walked to the side just enough to get a view from the wide window by the door just to catch a glimpse of Duff with his mouth glued to hers. My fingers clenched into fists and I kicked my car. I wanted Elle so bad....how could this Scottish duffs stand in my way!?
