I Can't Explain It 3

I grinned and Duff then ran upstairs and changed into my pajamas. When I came down he was sitting on the couch watching a movie. I appeared in the door way and his eyes lightened up. "I wondered where you ran off to." he grinned.
I crawled onto the couch next to him and cuddled up to his side. His arms wrapped around me tight. "You never told me how you even remembered me.." he whispered.
"Oh, I had a dream about you. These images from when we were little kept flashing through my mind and finally you started talking to me making me remember everything. I think I had them because we are just so...connected." I whispered tracing the heart shaped birth mark that matched mine on his wrist. His arms moved and pulled me tighter against him. He barried his face in my hair.

"God I missed you so much." he whispered in his Scottish accented voice that drove me crazy. "One more question though.."
"Hmm?" I asked in totally ecstasy.
"Did you have any other boyfriends....?"
I was silent. I remembered the heated relationship between Lenny and I that had made us come to the conclusion that we were better as best friends.
"Um...All that matters now is we are together.." I sidetracked and looked him in the eyes.
"Oh my gosh ... you did didn't you!?" he said in fake anger.
"Duffy! Please, it was a long time ago and it doesn't mat-"
"Who is he..I mean WAS he?" he said in amusement.
"My best friend Lenny." I mumbled.
And of course at that moment my phone started buzzing on the table I jumped up and sure enough...the caller ID said LENNY. I glanced up at Duff watching me.
"Hello?" I answered.
"That''s him isn't it!" Duff said jumping of the couch.

"Um..Who was that?" Lenny asks when he hears Duff's voice.
"No one, whats up?"
"So I'm a no one?" Duff says.
"Um..where are you?" Len asks.
"My friends house.
"I wanna talk to him!" Duff tries to grab my phone I duck away and start laughing.
"Um look Len Ill call ya later. Bye!" I shut the phone and hid from Duff in the hall closet.
"Where the bloody hell did you go?" I heard him question and I held back a chuckle but it didn't work. I heard his foot steps stops and I held my breath as I listened. Out of no where the door flung open and two strong arms grabbed me. I screamed as I was thrown over Duff's shoulder. "Don't you dare hide from me little miss!" He threw me on the couch and started tickling me remembering how ticklish I was. I thrashed around trying to escape his mercilous fingers.
"Stop!! Stop please!! I'm so sorry!" I said wiggling.

"Nope, not stopping."
Finally I sat up and pressed my lips to his. His fingers stopped moving immediately. Then his arms wrapped around me. Sparks flew through me. His tongue pushed through my lips eagerly. I pulled him tighter to me missing him so much. "I missed you." I whispered against his lips. He groaned in agreement. I felt his tongue slide down my throat. and I moaned in pleasure. His hands kneeded my waist.

"Well nothings changed." I heard someone say. I looked up to see Kathy trying to be mad but obviously happy to see Duff on top of me. All the kids were covering their eyes and giggling. I felt the blush creep to my cheeks but Duff didn't move off of me. I looked at him only to see he was still in the trance we had set. His eyes sucked me back in and his lips crushed against mine. I heard Kathy chuckle and leave. The kids still peaking at us.
I pressed against him anxiously. Finally I pulled away afraid he would have me right there on the couch with the family around. "Later." I whispered in his ear. He looked up to see the kids grinning and Nick, his older brother fake gagging in disgust.
"What ever happened to the never love another girl beside Elean-" He stopped as he finally got a good look at my face. He must of thought I was some other girl.
"Oh my god...." Nick whispered. "She looks exactly like my little Elle." Nick and I used to be close. Like brother and sister. Always teasing each other and him being over protective.
I got out from under Duff and walked to Nick, his eyes boring into mine. "Nick..Its me." I whispered.

Kathy was in the door way watching with wide eyes. The kids were silent waiting for his reaction. The silent pause seemed to be endless but then his arms were wound around me. He picked me up and crushed my body to his hugging me tightly and spinning me around. "ELLE IT IS YOU! I WOULD NEVER FORGET THOSE EYES!" He sat me down a bit dizzy and gave me a nuggie messing up my hair. Everyone started giggling and the air in the room seemed lighter. He got me in a headlock and I grabbed his arms trying to flip him but he had really muscled up since we were 17.
"DANG! You have muscles now!" I mused.
"And you have boobs!" I looked down embarrassed and he chuckled. "How old are you now Elle?" He asked.
"Twenty one." I grinned.

"Oh! Your of legal drinking age now! We are going to have F-U-N tonight!" He grinned. Everyone was silent remembering the last time I drank. "Or we could play Candyland..." He suggested. I grinned and smacked him playfully. He pretended to be hurt and rubbed his shoulder tenderly. I rolled my eyes and crawled back into Duff's awaiting arms. "Oh dang, its going to be like old times. Everyone has to put up with your constant goo and macking on each other." I grinned up at Duff knowing how true that was.
"Your right." Duff whispered and pressed his lips softly to mine. We pulled away and looked at Nick who was pretending to look disgusted but the happy twinkle in his eyes was undeniable. I yawned and felt my eyes grow heavy.

"That's it, your tired. You've had a long day. Time for bed." Duff says picking me up.
"No daddy I wanna stay up like a big kid." I joked. I felt his body shake as he giggled. I gave up my struggling and layed my head against his shoulder and waved goodbye to the people down stairs forlornly and they laughed.
Duff carried me upstairs. He layed me in bed and tucked the covers around me then started walking out of the room. "Hey!" I complained. He stopped and looked at me. "Get over here!" He walked back and sat on the edge of the bed.
"What?"
I pulled him over to me. "I wanna cuddle." I pounted. His arms wound around me.
"I knew it." He chuckled. I curled up against him and closed my eyes totally happy. "I love you Elle," he whispered.
"I love you to." Then I slowly fell asleep in his arms.
