I Can't Explain It 2

***Lenny's POV***
I woke up to a loud knocking on my apartment's door. I pulled myself out of bed and groaned. I shuffled to the door in my boxers and opened it to see a beautiful Eleana leaning against the door frame. "Hey there handsome," she smiled kissing my cheek like always.
"Hey," I grumbled.
***Eleana's POV***
I looked down and noticed Lenny was only in his boxers. "Ugh! Len! It's called clothes, PUT SOME ON!" I covered my eyes with my hands.
"Get in here loser, you know you like it," he teased, grabbing my wrist and pulling me into the familiar apartment. "You woke me up," he went back into the bedroom. I followed him in time to see him bury himself in the blankets.
"Lenny," he complained sitting on the edge of his bed waiting for a response and not getting one. "LENNY!! Come on!!" I could feel the heat radiating from his covered up body. I felt my eyelids grow heavy as I was reminded of my lack of sleep from last nights dream.
I crawled on top of the covers and curled up against Lenny's back, stealing some of his heat. Slowly my eyelids fell and the dream began again.
It was right were it left off, the strange boy standing in front of me. "Please...think hard...do you remember me.."
I shook my head no.
His beautiful features were over taken with frustration, he stepped forward grabbing my forearms, making the sensation in me that my blood was now lava. I shivered and looked into his deep brown eyes. "Do you feel our connection?" he whispered. I nodded.
"Do. You. Know. Who. I. Am."
I closed my eyes thinking hard. Images flashed in my mind, a younger me being watched over by a younger version of the strange man before me now. My mom talking to a dark-haired lady, slightly resembling the strange boy. I opened my eyes to see him staring at me.
"What's is your name," I whispered.
"Duff," he replied, it was then I heard the Scottish accent weaved deeply into his voice.
"Duff," I repeated, chasing the clef in his chin with my finger. He smiled softly. I realized how close his perfect face was to mine, and I wouldn't flinch."I know who you are Eleana," he whispered in my ear, the sound striking familiarity in me.
"Duff.." I said again as though trying to recall it....it sounded SO familiar! Why couldn't I remember this all!
"Yes...yes," he said hopefully. "Maybe you will remember this..." and he brushed his lips against mine tenderly. My whole world began to spin in the other direction, images flew to my head of him
and I, kissing, holding each other, in love.
I sat up in Lenny's bed breathing hard. My fingers flew to my lips as if to check if there was any trace of Duff left on them. "What!? What is Elle?" Lenny asked looking alarmed. He looked in
my eyes and saw the spark and hunger that is never usually there. He took my face in his hands.
"Elle what is it!?" he demanded. "I remember..." is all I whispered before throwing myself out of the bed and out of his apartment ignoring his confused yelling. I waved down a taxi and told him to go to an address that had flashed through my mixed up mind. I leaned my head against the cool window, in shock. The taxi pulled up to a giant Victorian mansion. My breath caught in my throat. I paid the nice man and made my way up the stairs. Slowly I lifted my wrist and knocked on the sturdy wood door. I could hear the noise echo through the halls of the house, and with that knock brought excited whispers from people on the other side of the door.
"Who is it?" A woman asked as she opened the door, a smile on her perfect lips. I looked at the woman and recognized her from one of the flashback images I had in my dream. Her big brown eyes grew wide. "It-it's you!" she whispered, a hand moving to her neck in astonishment. Before I could ask a question her arms twisted around me and pulled me to her, crushing me. She started screaming "ITS YOU! IT'S YOU! OH WE'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH! Guys come quick! It's our beloved Eleana!!" I heard a ruckous upstairs, followed by what seemed to be lots of feet scattering down a flight of stares. Before I could think I was surrounded by a group of people, hugging, kissing, complementing me.
I felt a tug on my jeans and instinctively I got on my knees to come face to face with one of the most adorable little girls I have ever seen. She had short curly black hair, and wide brown eyes, just like Duff's. "Welcome back!" she whispered giving me a toothy grin. I hugged her to me, even though I didn't have a clue to who she was, somehow, something told me I knew her somehow.
I heard a giant girlish scream and looked up to see a face I HAD remembered, 100%. My face was split in two and I felt my eyes light up. "TARA!!!!" I shout and run up to the beautiful girl my age standing in front of me, shocked.
"YOU REMEMBER ME!?" she asked.
"How could I forget my best friend." I gave her a teary eyed smile. Her arms wound around my neck and hugged my tight.
"I didn't think you would come back to us." she whispered. "Let alone remember us."
"To be honest you're the only one I remember 100%." I whispered in her ear so only she could hear. She pulled me back and gave me an awe filled look. Before she could say something she looked behind me, her eyes got wide. The whole room became silent. I turned around to see a very handsome Duff, standing there wide-eyed. He looked as though he was about to pass out.
"Eleana..." he whispered as though I was a mirage.
"Um..come along now, I have cookies and tea," the woman who answered the door said in her beautiful Scottish accent. Everyone in the room left while staring at us till it was just Duff and I.
He stood there for a while, his eyes filled with disbelief. Then all of a sudden I ran to him, out of instinct and he lifted me into his arms. His hand went to the back of my neck and he pressed my face against his muscular shoulder. His body shook from sobs. "You came back, you came back." he kept whisper repeating. I cried tears of joy into his shoulder. "I thought I had lost you."
"I'm right here baby, I'm right here," I whispered running my fingers through his thick hair. He spun me around and I nuzzled his neck affectionately.
"How did your find us? How do you remember?" he asked, taking my face between his hands and searching my eyes with his.
"Grab your family and I well tell you all everything." I smiled. He nodded in agreement, then let a look of pure bliss cover his face. I pressed my lips to his and got a new concision I call Lava Blood again. I had finally returned to my Duff.
I sat down on one side of the table next to Duff and everyone else pulled seats up in rows on the other side, like some sort of movie theater.
I closed my eyes thinking as hard as possible. Duff squeezed my hand reassuringly. 'I-i remember..." I started out, "Kathy," i said, finally remembering the woman who opened the door's name. I looked at her and saw her beaming. "She is Duff's mom, and all of your guys' adopted mom. And she was my mom's best friend." Kathy nodded encouragingly. "You told my mom, that Duff and I were meant to be so... you two set us up before we were born. But when we were born, we both had the same mark, on the same place," I held out my wrist to show the little heart-shaped birth mark as did Duff, "meaning we were connected. My mom was always gone so I had to stay with you guys. But one day I," I paused thinking deeply. "But what I don't remember is...HOW I lost my memory," I searched the face that were scrunched up in bad memories around me.
After a long moment of silence. "You were in an accident. You were very upset about how your father was killed." I lowered my head finally remembering that part. "You got really drunk and... ignored me when I tried to take your keys to your motorcycle and you... you jumped on your Harley and drove off. I watched you, trying to convince myself you weren't going to hurt yourself..... I was wrong. Two hours later we got a phone call from your distressed mother saying you had hit head first into a tree and that you were in the hospital barely alive. I had spent almost every day with you since we were born and to know..." he held back tears. "To know that at any second you could be dead..hurt. And to know it was because of me...killed. I loved you Elle, and to know I let you hurt yourself....will never leave me. So I grabbed the family and we jumped in to cars and speed over only to find out that you were in a deep coma. I sat by your bed every night for two weeks until you woke up. I was holding your hand and your eyes fluttered open. I started kissing you all over but then you...you pulled away. You didn't recognize anyone but your mother.
She took my mom aside and decided it would be best if we didn't try to jog your memory....and that's the day I thought I would never get you back..." he finished, tears streaming down both his and my face. I wiped his tears away and hugged him gently. But his arms flew around me and squeezed me against him. "Don't leave me again..please." he whispered in my ear so only I could hear.
"I won't, I'm here to stay," I whispered back.
"What happened to your mom! I haven't talked to her since," Kathy asked.
I lowered my eyes to the floor. "She...she died."
I whispered.
"Oh. I'm so sorry Eleana," I just shrugged.
"Well....I was planning on taking all the kids to the zoo, so you and Duff can have your time to catch up."
I woke up to a loud knocking on my apartment's door. I pulled myself out of bed and groaned. I shuffled to the door in my boxers and opened it to see a beautiful Eleana leaning against the door frame. "Hey there handsome," she smiled kissing my cheek like always.
