I Believed Because You Let Me

Someone told me they loved me, and I found out they just said it to get back at an x girlfriend.
I believed because you let me
You let me believe, it’s all your fault
Why are you trying to destroy my life
You made me cry!
I hate you but you could never understand
I'm just a stupid girl after all
Nothing to you. Never was
Do you miss it like I do? Do you want it like I do?
Guess not. But you let me believe.

I'm heartbroken but was never in love
It was just your trust. Nothing more.
You wanted something else. Someone else.
Just to get back at her
You didn’t think I knew, but I gathered the clues
And it became so clear – is she the one you fear?!
I'm nothing now but never was
Thank you, thanks a lot
You said you loved me and I believed you
But you let me believe.
