I Believe

True love will last forever.
When twilight calls, she'll be with me,
With a tender kiss upon my cheek,
Soft and warm, will be her breath,
As she lays with me upon my bed,
And when she whispers my name,
I know I'll feel sanctified again.

I believe I'll catch a star,
And pin it to her loving heart,
I believe I'll hold the moon,
To shine a light upon her gloom,
And I believe her love will glow,
To light a flame within my soul.

When she lays her hand in mine,
Her eyes will shine with a love so fine,
Deep and dark, they've seen so much,
They hold the secrets of her love,
The confidence of her desire,
Always takes my spirit higher.

I believe I'll paint her portrait,
And spell my love out in a sonnet,
I believe I'll carve her name in stone,
Just to let the world know,
And I believe the world will see,
Just exactly what she means to me.

When we make love, I'm so impressed,
My heart beats strong against my breast,
We sail away on a wondrous wind,
Soar through the clouds on eagles wings,
Fly to the sun where life begins,
To endorse our very being.

I believe she makes me live,
With all the love she has to give,
I believe with her sheer beauty,
Fortune shone it's light upon me,
And I believe, forevermore,
That I will love like never before.
