Here are the foods that should be included in the both diabetic hypoglycemia and reactive hypoglycemia diet plan. This is a 2000 calorie diet plan. You can interchange the foods with the same portion of another food, in order to rotate the foods and bring in variety in the diet.
- Breakfast: 1 portion of fruits + 1 portion of meat/eggs + 2 portions of bread/starch + 1 portion of fat + 1 portion of 2% milk
- Morning Snack: 1 portion of meat + 1 portion of bread/starch + 1 portion of bread/starch + 1 portion of fat
- Lunch: 2 portions of meat, fish, poultry or cheese + 2 portions of bread/starch + 2 portions of raw vegetables + 1 portion of fruit + 2 portions of fat
- Afternoon Snack: 1 portion of meat + 2 portions of bread/starch + 1 portion of fat + ½ portion of 2% milk
- Supper: 2 portions of meat, fish, poultry or cheese + 2 portions of bread/starch + 2 portions of raw vegetables + 1 portion of sugar free dessert + 2 portions of fat
- Bedtime Snack: 1 portion of bread + 1 portion of 2% milk
