Hurting

This is about how someone can treat their 'friend' so horribly but that still friend cherishes their friendship.. Please comment.
Hurting
I know not what I see in you
I know not what it means
My best friend, I thought you were
Now we’re tearing from the seams

It’s not my fault, I try so hard
To be the friend I think you need
But it feels as though it’s a hopeless case
I wonder why I even bother

A friend at first, a sister you became
But now it feels like it was some silly game
The hurt you exposed me to was excruciating
All I have left are my tears that I am now shedding

I wish our friendship was how it used to be
Not what it is now, a distant memory
I remember the comfort we had with each other
But now it’s disappeared and can never be replaced by another.
