I ignore him because he beats me down

He beats me down to make me a man
When I stand my ground he beats me down

He beats me when I speak
So I submit in silence
He beats me because I’m weak
So he converse with violence

He beats me down to proof that I’m gay
When I bring home a girl he chases her away
He beats me down to disguise his jealousy
He beats me down until I agree

He beats me down because I hate him
I hate him because he beats me down
He beat me down because I forgave him
I forgave him because he beat me down
