HRM Empowering Employees in Crisis: Bossism Versus Benevolence
Baseless Blame on employee :
Threatening, sacking, putting undue pressure or domination kills the emotion and passion of an employee. Out of necessity the person may be compelled to do the task to take care family or personal obligation, but there will be ill and negative thoughts in his heart for the seniors and for the work.
Slowly steadily, day by day things are detonating, it is not just stock indices or the financial market, the motivation, inspiration, desire, dreams and hope of people are drying up. In many firm CEOs or higher authority are not ready to accept their own mistakes and failure in calculating the marketing trend, rather showing their stubbornness, arrogant behavior towards the employees. Authorities are misbehaving and blaming the middle or lower level employees for their minor or negligible mistakes.
Crisis and rapid changes have puzzled all level with question what will be the next?
Benevolence Versus Bossism:
Middle or lower level employees can understand the problems of the organization, they are also enough literate to analyze the situation but misbehaving, showing disregards, criticizing or censuring them cannot hide company’s weakness. Let us have honest expression with empathetic tone not in a rude or bossism manner, employee can understand the situation, but proper approach will ameliorate his emotion organization that are once teaching about the empathy, mannerism, love and regards now they are openly breaking their own convictions and principles. People are also watching how hypocrites the higher level authorities are.
Maintaining same concern, tone with simplicity and power of bending can help the organization in gaining the employee satisfaction. The employees are also have enough loyalty, concern, and adherence to companies fundamentals and principles as they have been sustaining their family and self through the activities of their organization, but the reckless behavior, undefined blames, made them emotionally hurt or emotionally murdered. Spiritual responsibility hints about correcting behavior and morale of companies in dealing with employees with concern and sincerity then problems can be solved amicably.
Performance appraisal in crisis to boost employee morale:
There is a huge drainage of inspiration, motivation and interest on part of employees towards present work profile. Employees are not sure about their performance appraisal, the regular increments. In the absence of job security bleak atmosphere of the financial growth, the incentive to work hard has dried out.
Now a day’s employee lacks proper career plan, vision, mission and goal so he is not motivated to contribute best. Individual feels after sacrificing so much for the organization in term of time, health, mental effort misbalancing one’s family and personal life what are the gains?
In these days organizations are so much concern about the crisis, cost cutting and retrenchment; hardly do they give any importance to somebody’s positive effort and contribution.
If they will give importance to the positive initiative of the shop floor employees, still things can change faster in positive direction. Instead of overlooking appreciating and inspiring the employees to put their best effort with proper reward and recognition may be in term of monetary or non monetary which is going to boost the employee’s loyalty and self confidence.
Within all the crisis within all the problem if company will reward the effort of individual and appreciate with sincerity and proper evaluation it will be nice time to see some of the wonders on the part of employees to exhibit their performance to overcome the crisis. Within the crisis considering horse and donkeys in equal list then the best employees will be discouraged and de-motivated to contribute.
Inspiring Innovation through Transcendent Intellect:
Too much dependence on computer or electronic media will not result innovation. It is not going to help the human mind to land on innovation. When one can take his thoughts to the world of silence where the power of imagination helps in visualizing the things which are absent in the prevailing world.
Through the power of concentration when one can detach his attachment towards the belongings range from, asset, physical relationship and also own physical body. When man has become slave to his old practices, habits or weak nature that will not allow the intellect to flow freely to discover something new.
