You can go for medications like Erythromycin, Tetracycline, Minocycline, Tazarotene, Benzamycin, etc. It should be noted that these medications are available only with the doctor's prescription, and it is essential to consult the doctor before taking any medication.
  • Honey is known for its antibacterial properties. You can make a paste by mixing a pinch of cinnamon powder on one teaspoon of honey and apply this paste on the pimple. You should keep this overnight and then wash it off first thing in the morning. It can be washed with warm or cool water, and can be repeated for 1-2 weeks.
  • You can apply the tomato pulp on the acne skin and leave it for a couple of minutes; and wash it off with cool water.
  • You can squeeze fresh lemon juice and apply it directly on the face. Leave for a couple of minutes and clean with cool water.
  • A mixture of lime juice and rose water is an excellent home remedy. You can apply this mixture directly on the acne area; leave for a couple of minutes and wash off with cool water.
  • Sandalwood paste is also one of the best home remedies for acne scars. You can mix the sandalwood paste in rose water and apply it to the skin for quick results. Sandalwood also has a soothing effect which will help in getting rid of the itching caused due to acne.
  • Apply aloe vera gel on the acne affected area, leave for some minutes and wash off with cool water. The aloe vera gel or extract is easily available in the market; or you can even have your own at home.
  • You can make a paste of oatmeal and water or milk and apply it to the face. This can also be left for 2-3 minutes and then washed off.
You can try any of these remedies or even go for prescription medication to get rid of acne. Lastly, note that along with these medications and remedies, it is also essential to keep the skin dry, but, hydrated to cure acne completely. Take care!
