Steps to Transfer Music from a Computer to an MP3 Player
- First and foremost, you need to physically connect your MP3 player to your computer using a data cable. In most cases, you do get the data cable along with the MP3 player itself. Match the end-slots of the data cable with the computer and MP3 player sockets and connect them appropriately.
- Assuming that your computer is already powered on, you should now switch on the MP3 player. Almost instantly, you will see a new window and a message appearing on the computer screen acknowledging your MP3 player as a peripheral device. Do not close the window as it is required in the subsequent steps.
- Select the particular music folder that contains the songs and the audio files that you wish to transfer to your MP3 player. Through the right-click menu, select the Copy option.
- Go back to the earlier window that shows the MP3 player contents. Once again, through the right-click menu, select the Paste option. This will copy all the selected music files from your computer to your MP3 player.
- Once the file transfer is complete, you can confirm the same using the window that displays the MP3 player contents.
- Switch off the MP3 player, disconnect it from the data cable and you're done!
