How to Tell a Good Horse Racing Advisory Service

To understand the necessary requirements for deciding if a Horse Racing tips adviser is genuine.
Proof, Proof and More Proof makes Profit. There are many services on the internet, in daily newspapers and letters on your doormat that promise to make you a daily profit from Horse Racing with no effort from yourself. Tips galore and all you have to do is pay for them and watch the profits roll in. Now its true that 98% of people who bet never make a profit and in my experience the same is also true of Horse Racing Tipping services. So how do you decide how to choose a reliable service that gives you long time profits because to be honest if you could pick your own winners you don’t need a service and good luck to you.

Back to the top statement how to prove a service gives regular winning Horse Racing Tips. In Racing terms we have a system called ‘Proofing’. It means to give or show your bets before the start of racing in a reliable manner and the subsequent results. For it will only be the results that you the punter will see, but will have a knowledge that they have been shown to a proofing service beforehand. If a service can’t prove what it claims then their just snake-oil salesman. Anyone can send a letter or create a website showing lots of winners at good prices with few losing runs. In truth any good service will have losing runs especially if they are looking at horses with good starting prices. This is where a good betting bank policy is required, although that’s for another article.

In the UK there are several proofing sites that can be used, gg.com or racing-index.com are well known and tipsters can be easily shown with their results. The Racing Post newspaper will also take proofed selections but it is hard to see their results. An adviser could also setup an account with betting sites such as Betfair, start with a small balance and just punt on their own selections, as these cannot be changed after a race has been run you would see how good or bad they are progressing.

The only time when outright proof is not needed is when a service that has had a regular telephone service that has been profitable is now setting up a separate private club for the benefit of smaller numbers and better prices, but again it must be a service that has proved itself over a period of time. Remember any advisory service is there to benefit not only the tipster but also yourself. The racing forums are full of tales from irate punters who have lost their money from so called ‘experts’. Don’t be in such a hurry to throw your money at the bookmakers, watch and track an advisory service until you are satisfied it can provide you with what you require, regular winners with good profit, after all its what we all crave.

So watch out for more articles in this series, good luck and remember:- Proof, Proof and More Proof makes Profit.
