Selling on Amazon can be simple. But then, why on Amazon.com? Well if you must know, Amazon.com is the largest online retailer in America. It has got highest revenues and internet sales. It was launched in the year 1995. Since then, its sales figures has been ever-increasing. You can find most of the things on Amazon and the best part is that you may get stuff at discounted prices. You can find stuff like iPods, MP3 players, DVDs, CDs, computers, laptops, computer peripherals, electronic appliances, toys, food, camera, etc.

To sell something on Amazon you will require an Internet connection and an Amazon account. It will ask you to create an account when you sell something on it for the first time. Mentioned below is the step by step procedure which will explain you the correct method of selling your product on Amazon.

• First, you need to go on the homepage of Amazon.com and then below the page you would see 'Sell on Amazon'. You'll have to click on it.
• It will then take you to the 'Sell on Amazon' page. The right side of this page will be for individual sellers, you will have to click on 'Start Selling' below 'Sell Your Stuff' tab.
• On the next page, you've got to categorize your product. On Amazon there are 18 categories like books, electronics, video, DVD, computer & video games, etc. Select appropriate category and just next to it put a title or a keyword and then click on 'Start Selling'.
• On the next page, there will be various products which will match with the keyword or the title which you've put. Depending upon what item are you selling, choose appropriate item from the list and then click on 'Sell Yours Here'.
• Then, on the next page, it will confirm if it is the same product you want to sell. Here, you will also have to select how is the condition of your item, whether it is unused, used, refurbished, etc. You can also write some thing about the product if you want to.
• Next, you've got to price your item. You can choose a price which you think is appropriate and then below it, choose the quantity of the item which you want to sell. Below it, it will ask you about what shipment method you would like to choose. You can either let Amazon ship the item for you or you can send it yourself and let Amazon credit the shipping charges to you.
• Next comes the page where you've got to put your personal details and get an Amazon account created. If you're an existing customer you've got to put your password. If you're a new customer then you've got to put your email address.
• Once you've put your email address it will take you to the registration page and it will create an account. You've got to put your name and other details and then follow the instructions accordingly.
• Once the registration has been done it will ask you to confirm the listing and once it has been done, your item will be in the Amazon.com Marketplace.

Once you've sent the item and when the buyer confirms that he/she has received the item, Amazon will then transfer money in your account. If you have chosen Amazon to credit the shipping cost, then you'll get the credit. Also for every sale, there would be a small commission deducted.
