Material Required
To remove car window tint, you will need black trash bags, glass cleaner, ammonia (undiluted), razor blade or a sharp knife, super-fine steel wool, soapy water, spray bottle and protective face mask.

Procedure
It is best to work on the rear windows first and then move on to the side windows or vice-versa. Do not work on all windows at a time.

Step 1
The first step of the procedure of how to remove window tint is to park your car in sun. Take the garbage bag and cut it in shape of the windows. No need to be too perfect, it must just cover the entire window rightly. Now, fill soapy water in spray bottle and spray it over the window. Next, take the bag and cover the rear windows with it. Make it flat with your hands.

Step 2
Usually, the window tint has more than one layer of film. Once you have the garbage bag on the window, it absorbs the heat from sunrays and helps the process of peeling off the film layers at a go.

Step 3
Now you need to use ammonia. Before using it, make sure you protect the inner surface. Also, you need to wear the protective mask. Now spray the window film with undiluted ammonia properly. While it's wet, place another trash bag over it. Make sure the sunlight is falling directly over the rear windows for about an hour, it will help soften the tint adhesive and hence, help in the window tint removal procedure.

Step 4
This is the main step. Start peeling off the film. Lift it from the corner carefully using a razor blade. Now peel it off with your fingers. Try to take it off in a single piece. Remove the remaining pieces using razor blade, be careful. You can remove any residue of adhesive using super fine steel wool and ammonia. Now you can remove the exterior trash bag.
