How to Open Your Xbox 360 Correctly

If your up for the challenge and want to make sure you properly open your Xbox 360 the right way, this article is a great place to start!
Please note: If you open your Xbox 360 you immediately void your warranty, Microsoft’s states, if you make any kind of modification (Mod) you could be banned from Xbox live for life as well as it clearly violating Microsoft’s Xbox policy terms and conditions.

How to properly open your Xbox 360:

Tools you’ll need:
Size T8 and T10 torx screwdriver
Flat head screwdriver
Philips screwdriver
Knife or paper clip for unlocking the console chassis
Roll of paper towels
Cup for screws or masking tape to label them

First, make sure to turn your Xbox 360 off unplug all cables and cords that are attached remove the hard drive and place console somewhere in a workable position.

Remove the front cover by easily squeezing to unlock each side, once you remove the front cover in you’ll need your knife or paper clip to unlock the clips now hold the console shell together, there are five clamps that you need to unlock with your paper clip or knife through the breathing holes on your console.

Flip your console over and remove the five clamps that hold the bottom lid together, once you remove the bottom lid in the upper half of the shell, repeat the process with the upper lid.

Next, there will be 6 clamps located on the back of the console that you also have to click to loosen up, there are also three clamps that you have to click as well. Once you’ve got all the clamps clicked loose you can then gently pull your console’s two half’s apart.

Once you have your shell removed, then you can take your size T10 torx screwdriver and remove the ascending screws (10 screws).
