How to Move a Hot Tub

Though hot tubs are a great source of luxury and relaxation, but the idea of relocating them would bring an end to all your enjoyment and luxury. Step 1
The first thing that has to be done is to pack all the accessories of the tub and of course, the tub as well. Prepare the checklist of the items that are attached with the tub. For example, some of the common accessories that are with the tub are heater, blower, electrical units, pumps and the plumbing units. Pack them separately so that while attaching them you would not have to waste time in searching.

Step 2
Now drain the hot tub and once it has completely dried up, replace the drain cap to its original position. Turn the tub side-wise that will make the shifting easier. Employ two people to lift the tub from one side and place a wooden piece under it, similarly two people on the other side have to follow the same technique and place the wooden piece beneath it. The size of the wooden piece should be 4x4. Make sure that while lifting, it does not slip otherwise it might damage the expensive tub.

Step 3
Now carefully move the tub with the help of the furniture dollies with a flat surface. Do not keep the tub flat, rather let it remain on its sides. Keep a dolly under the front side and another under the backside of the tub. You should use the dollies that come with the strap and secure the tub properly with the dolly strap making sure that the tub does not slip from the dollies while moving. Dollies are the best appliance to use because they secure the item with the help of the straps.

Step 4
Once you have reached your destination, detain two people on each side of the tub and one on both the ends. Unstrap the tub and slowly bring it down from the dollies. Carefully remove the wooden piece that was placed beneath the tub and make sure that your fingers do not get hurt. Attach all the accessories and check the functioning of the tub.
