How to Make Your Hair Curly
Tired of your age-old poker straight hair? Longing for some nice, gentle and wavy curls? Well, read on to know how to make your hair curly.
So, for all you lovely ladies who are contemplating some new haircut styles and ideas, why not think of getting some curls? Here is how to make your hair curly.
How to Make Your Hair Curly
We will look at different possible methods using which you can make your hair really curly (or moderately curly, if that is what you want). First, we will have a look at a few natural ways in which you can curl your hair.
How to Make Your Hair Look Naturally Curly
If you like Madonna's crimped hairdo and would like to get yourself a similar one as well, here's how to do it. First and foremost, wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Follow it with a hair conditioner. Make sure you use only half the amount of conditioner that you otherwise would normally use. Rinse your hair thoroughly and pat it dry using a soft towel. Do not use a blow dryer. Gently brush it using a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles. The next thing you should do is part it into three or four equal sections. Braid the hair in each of these sections. Let the braids remain for as long as possible. After you undo the braids, spray a little bit of holding hair spray on your wavy, curly hair to enhance the look and make it shine.
Alternatively, you can also opt for the tried and tested method of using hair rollers. Once again, wash, condition, rinse and pat your hair dry. Next, separate your hair into multiple sections (the number of sections will depend on how many rollers you have). Starting from the ends, work your hair into the roller and move upwards towards your scalp. Once you reach the scalp, fasten the roller with the help of a bobby clip or a roller pin. Let the rollers remain in this position for a few hours (ideally overnight). Once you open out the rollers, gently style your hair using your fingers to achieve those lovely curls that you were longing for.
Which Products Make Your Hair Curly?
These days, one of the most popular ways to curl your hair is by using special hair care products ranging from curl scrunching gels to curling irons. If you wish to know how to make straight hair curly within a few minutes, then a curling iron is what you need. Curling irons are a fast and a hassle-free way of getting curls. In case of hair rollers, you need to keep them in place for a few hours at least, in order to get decent curls. However, by using a good quality curling iron, the same can be achieved within a matter of a few minutes. However, since a curling iron uses heat to curl your hair, you should be extremely careful while using it or else it may damage your hair. Curl scrunching gels and mousses are another extremely popular way of getting that curly look in a matter of minutes. After washing and conditioning your hair, dry it with a soft towel. While it is still damp, apply a generous amount of volume mousse or gel to your hair. After you spread it evenly, scrunch your hair using your hands. Hold it in place for a few seconds. After your release it, spray it with a holding hair spray to keep it in shape and to give it some extra bounce.
So all you lovely straight-haired ladies, if you're confused about how to make your hair curly, I would suggest going for any of the above-mentioned options. If you have time in your hands, choose some of the natural methods. On the other hand, if it's a last minute dinner date and thirty minutes is all you have, you could opt for the best hair products for curly hair i.e., scrunching gel or the curling iron as a neat quick-fix solution.
