- So, how to make an origami heart? Take a rectangular piece of paper and fold the right top corner down to the left, matching the edges.
- Unfold the paper, now take the right corner and fold it to the left top corner. When you do this you will have an 'X' shape formed by the folds on the paper.
- Fold the top half of the X in the backward direction. After this again unfold it pushing back the center point of the X.
- Now take the two the two ends of the horizontal crease and match them together at the center, under the top half of the X.
- Fold the bottom of the paper up, so as to hit the bottom of the X.
- Now fold up the two bottom points of the triangle to match the top point of the triangle.
- Meet the two sides of the bottom inward by folding them together.
- Flip it over and fold the top point halfway down.
- Next, you fold up the two bottom corners and tuck them in to give your origami heart a finale.
Steps to Make Origami Heart with Wings
This is also a wonderful way of expressing your feelings of love. When you make an origami heart with wings, you can write something like "lets fly away" or "come fly with me", on the wings. An origami heart with wings is more attractive than a simple heart.
- You can start by keeping a square origami colored paper with the colored side down on the table.
- Fold the paper in half to make a horizontal rectangle and then in the other half to make a vertical one. When you unfold the paper, you should see two intersecting creases.
- Now fold the bottom and upper half to meet the crease at the center and flip the paper over.
- Fold the right side corner to meet the crease in the center but don't fold the bottom flap over. Do the same for the left side.
- Once you've folded both the right and left sides to get extensions to a triangle, flip the paper over.
- Fold the visible, top horizontal flap in half.
- Now, when you fold the top half, you can see it consists of twp flaps or parts, where you fold the 1st.
- Make a squash fold for the 2nd part to the right side first and then to the left side.
- You will now see 2 extended wing like structures where you need to make a small fold on its left and right sides.
- Above the wings there is half made heart in the back, with two similar edges. Make the same folds with them like the earlier ones inward and flip the heart over to see you origami heart with wings.
