Ingredients:
  • 4 cups flour
  • ¾ cup molasses
  • 1¼ teaspoons baking soda

  • ½ cup softened butter

  • 1½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1½ cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
