How to make different types of espresso drinks
Espresso can be used to make many hot beverages. Follow these recipes to prepare the perfect espresso drink. Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Americano, and even espresso shakes.
* Classic Cappuccino ( using a 8 oz. mug )
Pour about 2 oz. of steamed milk into 8 oz. mug.
Slowly pour 1 shot of espresso over the steamed milk.
Add more steamed milk over the shot of espresso , stoping about 1/2 inch to the top of the mug. Add 1 inch of froth to the mug so the froth stands at peaks.
* Classic Latte ( using 8 oz. mug )
Pour 1 shot of espresso into 8 oz. mug.
Add steamed milk to fill.
* Chocolate Mocha ( 8 0z. mug )
Add 1 once of chocolate syrup to mug. Pour 1 shot of espresso over chocolate syrup, stir the two together slowly, mixing them.
Add steamed milk to top of mug. Finish with a big dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of the chocolate syrup over the whipped cream. The method is the same for a Caramel Mocha.
* Americano ( 6 to 8 oz. mug )
pour 1 shot of espresso into mug, add 6 to 8 oz. of water. Some add cream and sugar as you would if making a cup of coffee.
* Espresso Macchiato ( served in a dematisse cup )
Pour a Single or double shot of espresso into a dematisse cup.
Top with frothed milk.
* Espresso Con panna ( served in a dematisse cup )
Pour a single or double shot of espresso into a dematisse cup.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
* Espresso Breve ( using dematisse cup )
Single or double shot of espresso with heated half and half added to it.
* Espresso Cubano ( using dematisse cup )
Add raw sugar to the espresso basket before adding espresso first , then, just draw the shot.
And of course there are those who just love a plain old shot of espresso with a lovely layer of creme ( a perfect shot )
