How to Make Sugar Cookie Dough

Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour , 3 cups
  • Baking powder, 3/4 tsp
  • Softened, unsalted butter, 1 cup
  • Sugar, 1 cup
  • Salt, 1/4 tsp
  • Milk, 1 tbsp
  • Powdered dough for rolling out dough
  • Egg, 1
Procedure

Take a large bowl and add flour, baking powder and salt in it. Whisk the mixture well and set it aside. Put butter and sugar in a stand mixer and blend them well. Now add milk and egg and beat the mixture again. Reduce the speed of the mixer and slowly add flour. Beat the mixture till the dough comes together. Put the dough on parchment paper and roll it into a log. Roll it up in a wax paper and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours. The dough can be left in the refrigerator for a couple of days to a month or just move on to the next step after you have refrigerated it for at least 2 hours. To proceed, preheat the oven to 375°F. Take the hardened dough out of the refrigerator. Remove the wrapping and cut the dough roll into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place these dough pieces on a cookie sheet and put them back in the refrigerator for 10 to 20 minutes. Take them out and bake them for 10 to 15 minutes. Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour, 2 cups
  • Butter, 1 cup
  • Brown sugar, 1 ½ cups
  • Chocolate chips, 3/4 cups
  • Vanilla extract, 2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Water, 1 tsp
Procedure

Keep the butter out at room temperature so that it becomes soft. Cut it into small chunks. Add the butter pieces and the brown sugar in a mixer. Turn on the mixer and blend the mixture well till it becomes smooth and creamy. Turn the mixer off and add flour, vanilla and water. Blend it well. Now with the blender on, add chocolate chips to the mixture. Run the mixture for another 15 to 20 seconds. Take a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment. With a melon baller, portion the dough onto this sheet. Refrigerate the dough balls until they become firm. Now store them in air tight plastic bags and use them in future whenever you want.

Ingredients for Dough
  • Flour, 1 ½ cups
  • Unsweetened cocoa, 1/2 cup
  • Granulated sugar, 1/2 cups
  • Brown sugar (packed), 1/2 cup
  • Butter (softened), 1/2 cups
  • Peanut butter (creamy), 1/4 cup
  • Baking soda, 1/2 tsp
  • Creamy peanut butter, 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla, 1 tsp
  • Egg, 1
Ingredients For Filling
  • Creamy peanut butter, 3/4 cup
  • Powdered sugar, 3/4 cup
Procedure

Take a small bowl and mix flour, baking soda and cocoa well. In a separate bowl add the sugars, plain butter and 1/4 cup of peanut butter. Blend this mixture well till it becomes light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add the flour mixture to the other mixture and stir well till all the ingredients mix well. Set this dough aside for some time. Roll them into dough balls.

In a small bowl add the filling ingredients and blend them well. Roll this mixture in as many number of balls as the dough balls. Spread one dough ball around the filling ball to cover it completely. Place these filled balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten them with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar. Preheat oven at 375 degree F. Bake the flattened dough pieces for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
