It's amazing what we can do with a piece of paper and crayons, ain't it? So if you want to learn the techniques so that you can make one for you and your friends (and boast a little bit in front of them), then you need to keep reading the article. In our following article, we will go over some easy-to-follow directions. Let's take a look.

Step by Step Guide

Since this is an origami project, the instructions for making a fortune teller are presented below. Even though we do not have the images to take you through the steps, the instructions are simple enough to follow. But before we begin the steps to make a fortune teller, you'll need a square paper (size depends on you) and crayons or pencil colors.

Step #1 - After you have collected the materials, place the square paper in front of you and fold in diagonally. This will make a triangle shape. Again fold it diagonally, making a smaller triangle.

Step #2 - Open both triangles, making the paper square again. As you can see, there is a crease in shape of an X. Take the left corner of the square page and fold it inward, bringing it closer to the middle where the X meets. You will touch the edge of the paper to the middle point. Do the same with all four corners.

Step #3 - As you can see, now you have a smaller square paper left and the loose folds are facing you at the moment. You will notice a + crease on the square. The next thing to do is flip this square paper over. Now that crease has become X again.

Step #4 - Similar to step #2, we will fold in all four pointed corners of the square again to meet the middle point. When you do this, your paper will begin even smaller but the shape will remain a square.

Step #5 - Now we've reached our final directions for making a fortune teller. For this, you need to fold the square in half twice. So do it once horizontally and once vertically. All there's left to do is slide your thumb and index finger of both hands inside the 4 flaps.
