Exercises to Perform
- To perform, lie flat on your back and place hands at the sides, they must be at right angles with the body and palms facing the floor. Start by raising your knees slowly, so that your lower legs are parallel to the ground. Now slowly lower your legs to the floor on your left side, such that, they form 90 degrees with the trunk. Hold the position for 5-10 seconds come back to position where lower legs are parallel to the floor. Now lower your legs at right side of the body. Perform 10 reps on each side.
- Lie flat on your back on the floor. Place hands on your sides, in line with your shoulder, palms facing downwards. Now lift you head, off the floor, move until you feel pressure. Don't put pressure on palms, you can instead place them on back of your head. Remember, not to use your hands for support. Hold the position for 5 seconds and relax. Perform 10 reps and 3 sets.
- Lie flat on your back on the floor. Place hands on sides of your body with palms touching the floor. Slowly lift both the legs, so that they are perpendicular to the floor, foot must face the ceiling. Now stay in same position and start raising up your hips, about 1-2 inches off the floor. Hold this position for 2-5 seconds and lower your hips. Again raise your hips and then relax. Repeat this movement 10 times and perform 3 sets.
- Lie flat on your back on the floor. Fold your knees, feet must touch the floor. Place hands on your sides palms facing the floor. Tuck in your abdominal muscles. Lift your head off the floor and legs as well, knees folded. Place your hands near the hips, with palms facing downwards. Bend your knees further and try to bring them near your chest. Hold the position for 2-4 seconds and slowly relax. Don't lift your lower back or pressurize your neck. Perform 10 reps and 3 sets.
