• In case you opt for polystyrene foam, then glue the foam to the garage panels after cutting them in appropriate measurement. Follow this up by fastening the panel brackets and strengthening the insulation.
• Weather strips too are a good option for insulation.
• For pasting the weather strip, the backing material will have to be removed just like a sticker. Double weather strips should be used.
• This will expose the sticky side, which should be placed downwards toward the garage door panels.
• Secure the weather strips either by applying pressure by hands or by using nails.
• If you find this difficult, then an easy option would be to buy garage insulation kit and install it as per the instructions.
• Another alternative is using reflective insulation panels on the back of the door or by fixing them over the polystyrene if it is already attached to the door.
• Check the insulation by closing the garage door and check if a draft is coming in.
