How to Install Window Blinds
Step I
The window blinds are to be installed inside the window frame. Initially, mark the position of the window blinds on the window frame on which the blinds are to be mounted.
Step II
The next step is to drill holes for the screws required to mount the brackets on the window frame. Once you have drill the required holes, insert and attach the screws and place the brackets on the window frame. Repeat this procedure for installing the bracket on the other side of the window frame.
Step III
Some of the window blind kits include the valance or pelmet. Many of the kits have valance attached to the headrails. Otherwise, if the headrails are not attached to the valance, then attach the headrails to the valance with the help of clips. Some of the window blind kits have bottom rails, attach them accordingly. It is suggested that when you install the valance clips, make sure that they do not interfere with the rolling action of the blinds.
Step IV
The last step of installing the window blinds, is to adjust the cord stops. The cord-stop should be at least 2 inches downwards of the headrails.

For contemporary and modern homes venetian blinds for the windows is a good option. The color of the window blinds must be decided according to the color of your walls and upholstery. Wooden window blinds is the best option, if you want to trap heat in the winter seasons.
