How to Get Rid of Ringworm at Home

Papaya
Both papaya fruit as well as papaya seeds can be used for the treatment of ringworm in humans. Take a slice of papaya and rub it thoroughly over the infected site. Or else, you can use dried papaya seeds. Make a paste by mixing powder of dry papaya seeds and water and apply it in the form of a thick layer on the ringworm rashes. Leave it untouched till the time it gets dry. Then wash it off with plain water.
Mustard Seeds
First of all, take powdered mustard seeds and then add some water into it to make a thick paste. The next step is thorough cleaning of ringworm patches with warm water. Now, apply the mustard seed paste on them and leave it untouched on them for half an hour. Finally, rinse it off with cool water.
Turmeric
The juice of fresh, raw turmeric is an excellent cure for ringworm. The best part is that it can be used both internally as well as externally. Extract one teaspoon of turmeric juice from raw turmeric and mix it well with one teaspoonful of honey. Have this mixture in the morning everyday. You can use plain turmeric juice to apply topically on the affected part.
Coriander Juice
This can effectively destroy the fungus that causes ringworm. Simply crush a handful of fresh coriander leaves and spread them on the skin rashes. The infection tends to make the skin dry and scaly. When you apply coriander juice on them it helps to get rid of that dry feeling of the skin.
Vegetable Juice
The natural components of juice of various raw vegetables has an amazing effect on ringworm. Among them, carrot juice and spinach juice are considered as the most effective for this purpose. Prepare a drink by combining 300 ml of carrot juice and 200 ml of spinach juice and have it on a daily basis.
Holy Basil
Holy basil is another natural substance available in our homes which can be used for treating ringworm. Extract the juice from fresh basil leaves and apply it on the ringworm patches. On regular application, it will start showing results in matter of few days.
To obtain best results from these home treatments, it is important that you maintain good personal hygiene. Keep the affected area clean and dry. Do not touch it with your hands unnecessarily. If you have to go for application of medicines, wash your hands with antibacterial soap and water before touching them.
