How to Get Over an Ex
It's certainly one of the most asked and most searched questions, so don't think you're alone in this. I hope to help all those people suffering the agony of a broken heart.

Bess Myerson
What an incredibly true quote! What medicine can possibly ease the ache of the broken heart? It is a very commonly asked question as not too many relationships end on that happy note of mutual separation. Usually, it is one person in the relationship who feels things just aren't right, or good enough for them. Hence, a broken relationship leaves at least one callously broken heart, lonely and sad in its attempts to move on.
But moving on over it is a must, for life doesn't end with a broken heart. The broken heart must find it in itself to 'stomach' the pains and come out the ashes like the proverbial phoenix. And moving on is the best thing you can ever do.
Getting Over Your Ex
It is one of life's quandaries, why the people we love the most end up leaving us. But the lesson you have to learn from this is to never make another person the focal point of your life. Never let another person be so important that his or her leaving you affects you much. Always remember, it's your life and it's about you, not about anybody else. Now that we have learned this lesson, let us learn the best ways of getting over a girl or getting over a guy.
Get a Hobby
I'm sure there must be something you like, which doesn't remind you of the one you loved. You should ideally try continuing that hobby. If there isn't, get one! There is a concept known as 'flow'. It is said that when you are in the state of 'flow' you are completely involved in the activity which you get engrossed in. So find some hobby, which will keep your mind off the person and help you get over him or her.
Get a Social Life
Perhaps it's time you went out for a couple of drinks with your old friends. Having a good company will most certainly give you a good time and help you forget about your relationship break-up. But it is not always a good idea to rely on your friends to take you out. Sometimes it's better if you took the initiative. It is also important to look for friends, or people who will give you a good time rather than being your agony aunts, with whom you will end up talking about your ex again!
Get Rid of the Old Stuff
Getting over her or him is like a cleansing thing. Get rid of all the memories, irrespective of whether they are good or bad. Make sure that there is no trace of your ex boyfriend/ex girlfriend within eye-shot. You might feel a little better, if you sold the stuff to a rag-picker and made a little money! Jokes aside, if the memories of the relationship keep coming back to haunt you, it is better you get rid of the sources of these memories.
Get a New Phone Number
Some ex's have the sorry habit of calling and talking generally. Even after they're done dumping you. Well it may be all right for them to, but it certainly is a painful reminder of how you both are not together. So shake them off. To move on, it is essential that you isolate yourself from people and things that hurt you.
Get a Bit of Exercise
Sounds a bit unusual, doesn't it? But trust me, this one really works! I believe that you can convert your emotional pain into physical pain, but positively. Some people hit themselves in an attempt to get over someone they loved, but how does it stand to benefit you? Instead, you could use your hate and hurt positively, and go for a really tough workout. At the end of it, you'll feel good, and look good too!
Get Busy
And lastly, if you feel all these ways don't answer the question, then work. Sit in office for longer hours and concentrate on doing your work well. In this way, your broken heart could make you some money!
The best relationship break up advice that I can give you is to stop thinking that the person you lost was the best person you could ever have. I know you must be tired of hearing that 'there are more fish in the sea', but it is true. It is best that you move on with your life and stop obsessing about the person who dumped you.
