You don't need to work out all the day. Exercising for 30 minutes is sufficient to get a flat tummy. However, it is important that you perform the most effective exercises for a considerable time period. The most effective workouts for flat tummy are cardiovascular exercises. Any physical exertion that increases the rate of heart beat is a cardiovascular exercise. Cycling, swimming, running, jogging, climbing stairs or skipping a rope are some of the easy ones. They burn fat present all over your body.
The best time for workout is early morning. This is because, in the morning the body derives energy from the stored fats as there are no ready carbohydrates available before breakfast. When you perform fat burning exercises in the morning, you burn the fat stored all over your body including the abdomen. By doing it both ways, you would be able to tone your abdomen as well as the thighs. Exercise ball crunches can be done thrice a week to a count of 50. It is sufficient.
Eat Healthy and Wisely to Get a Flat Tummy: Eating healthy and wisely is the second requirement to get a flat tummy. There is no special diet for a flat tummy. You need to follow a balanced diet. Your diet should have carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fibers, vitamins and minerals in the required quantity. For example, you can eat potato, meat and rice or pasta, however in the right proportion. The portion size of potato is the size of a computer mouse, that of meat is a deck-card's and that of rice is a cup's. Increase the protein and fiber content of your diet. Pulses and nuts have high protein content. Take at least three servings of fresh fruits and vegetable salads. They are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Avoid eating processed foods. Instead, eat brown rice and whole wheat bread. Cut short your intake of carbonated drinks and processed snacks. They are full of saturated carbohydrates with unwholesome properties. They only enhance the food craving and direct the body to store fat.
Avoid having heavy meals. Divide the quantity of each meal into two and try to eat six times a day, in an interval of 2-3 hours. This increases the rate of metabolism, which in turn would burn more fat in your body. Try not to eat any carbohydrates after 3:00 p.m. This way, you would decrease the chances of converting it into fat and store it around your belly. Try to have dinner 2 hours before sleeping. During sleep, the body works very slowly and does not digest the food properly, which in turn results in the bulging out of your tummy. Drink plenty of water as it aids in digestion and also keeps your stomach full, thereby reducing the urge to overeat. This is the way to follow a healthy diet wisely.
