How to Gain Weight Fast for Skinny Guys
For skinny guys who've always wanted to have that well-built and sought-after body, will find helpful tips on how to gain weight and increase muscle mass in the process.

Weight Gain Diet Plan
It is true that many skinny guys / girls binge on all the wrong, fatty foods and don't put on an ounce of weight. This is because their metabolism rates are high, and they're able to burn fat faster than most people. As time passes though, they won't be able to sustain that momentum of eating, because metabolic rates aren't always sky high. Exercise is an important part in gaining weight, since skinny frames lack muscle mass. In order to pile on the calories in a healthy manner you'd need to sign up at the nearest fitness center.
Breakfast
The first meal of the day for skinny guys isn't about a bowl of cereal, a glass of juice or a slice of bread with butter. It needs to have big portions of eatables that aren't unhealthy, but benefit weight gain. Start your day with these.
- A bowl of whole milk and bran flakes.
- Half a glass of milkshake - one tablespoon full cream, vanilla / orange / mango essence, stevia (for sweetness), ¼ cup of whole milk. Blend the ingredients well, and pour into a nice tall glass.
- Bowl of fruit - banana / mango / papaya / sapodilla (see 'Manikara zapota'); slice it all up in a half-a-bowl serving. Drop in half a teaspoon of whole cream to give it that smooth creamy texture.
Post-Breakfast Pre-Lunch Meal
After you're done with breakfast, keep a time gap of about two hours before you snack on the following.
- Assorted half bowl of pistachios, cashews and peanuts.
- Either that or a nice mini sandwich with chicken fillet, cheddar cheese and dijon mustard. You can prepare this at home, with ready-to-make fried chicken and condiments you have on hand.
- Another great idea would be to carry a thermos with a nice blend of ingredients that make up a milkshake. The shake can include - a dollop of full cream, scoop of low-fat flavored frozen yogurt, three tablespoons of milk, blend till smooth and you're done!
Eat lunch, a good 2 - 3 hours later, depending on how your appetite is.
- When it comes down to lunch, prepare a meal of salad, generously coated with Parmesan cheese shavings and salad dressing (Caesar style).
- You could also try having a mini pasta meal, with cheese, roasted chicken / beef / lamb chunks and tomato sauce.
- Another lunch idea can comprise a portion of mixed fried brown rice topped with kidney beans gravy or crispy whole wheat pita bread packed with ham slices, olives, lettuce, tomato slices and cheese.
Evening
When the day's done and you're down to your last meal, this is what you need to prepare for yourself. You can alternate between any of the following.
- Have either another salad bowl with dressing or low-calorie muffins with jam / butter.
- Baked whole wheat bread with blue cheese.
- A non-veg taco or a bowl of fried cottage cheese tossed with tomatoes, olive oil, chili flakes and thyme.
Workout
Skinny guys while on this diet, need to also give their bodies a good workout to allow muscles to come to the fore. They're all there, but not being worked on. So get signed up at a good gym with a gym instructor to help you tone up, or start your own regimen at home, with help from exercise tapes or a trainer who can come and help out at home. Work on exercises that promote a bulky frame, that is muscle-building and strength training than the kind that is meant to shed pounds.
Losing and putting on weight isn't easy, and requires a great amount of determination and focus. Without it, you're bound to lose track of what your goal was, making it harder for you to attain that particular weight you've always wanted. The idea here is to combine filling meals with healthy ingredients coupled with exercise and an active lifestyle.
