How to Gain Financial Freedom

Achieving success in Network Marketing.
You started a brand new business or just went into business for yourself, now what? Even if you are not new to Network Marketing, perhaps your recent business venture is new to you; therefore, I will assume you don’t know everything about your new business. So, I am going to go tell you how to achieve success in Network Marketing.

Step 1: The Orientation: If it is not offered, please request to attend an orientation, briefing or any meeting affiliated with your business. You will need to absorb as much information as possible about your new venture. Attend, and take notes.

Step 2: Why did you join?: Everyone’s reason for starting a business is different. Your why is your reason for starting your own business. Find out what is your strongest reason or desire and write it down. It may be your spouse was recently laid off, you want to be a stay-at-home mom. Whatever your reason is, it will need to be a very strong one and one that will continue to motivate you to stick with the business.

Step 3: Your Goal: Find out what level you wish to achieve first in your business. How long will it take for you to achieve your first level of growth in your business. Set a time frame to get to that point. This will be become your goal to growth.

Step 4: Schedule: Create a work schedule; the amount of time you will have to put into your business. Be realistic about this. This is important because this will determine whether or not this business is the right one for you. Sit down and write it out. Create a calendar and map out your time. A good scheduling tip for success is to schedule 80% of your business time prospecting (talking to people) and 20% of time training and personal growth.

Step 5: Website: Did your business come with a corporate website? If so, you will need to take some time to do an overview of the website. If not, perhaps you will need to think about creating one. There are many companies online to assist you in creating a website. In fact, they will be more than happy to do one for you for a fee. Or, you can create your own for free with instructions. The point is, eventually, you will need a website. People like to go to websites to browse and find out information about your offer. Plus, having a website makes you look more professional on a business card.

Step 6: Product / Service: Learn your product or service. Oftentimes when you begin to market your business, interested people will call you immediately. It happened to me and I was still in the learning phase. You will need to at least be able to answer questions or refer them to someone that can help them. You are not expected to know it all in the beginning, but knowing a little is more than your customers know. Never be afraid to say "you’re new" and refer them to someone else. Your customers will appreciate your honesty.

Step 7: Compensation Plan: How will I earn an income? This is the meat of your Why? Most likely this is the reason you started or joined the business; to gain an income. Go over the compensation plan for understanding. As you talk with others, while prospecting, they will want to know how they will earn an income. It’s a good idea to be able to explain this in detail. Or at least well enough to satisfy their curiosity. Compensation Plans can be overwhelming and confusing to understand in the beginning. Honestly, when I started in Network Marketing, I didn’t fully understand the compensation plan. I only knew the basics. I just knew what I needed to do to make money. So it was quite a surprise when I did well with the business. It was a nice surprise when the checks began to roll in. I quickly learned the compensation plan. I learned as I earned.

Step 8: Ready To Start: Does your business come with a kit or any information? If so, you will need to prepare any DVD’s, Brochures, Magazines by adding your personal information to these materials. The reason is because you will be handing these things out soon. You never know whose hands they will fall into. If you get a interested person, they will know who to call. This is also the time to decide which marketing strategies you are going to take to prospect. Many companies will already have a plan in place for you. Absorb that information, but know it is your business. You can be creative when it comes to marketing. In this industry, there are many ways to market your business. I can cover marketing alone, in an article by itself; and I may just do that.

Step 9: Recruiting / Prospecting: In our business, it’s all about talking to people. We talk to them about our programs and possibly the opportunity to do what you do and work from home. I encourage you to stay plugged in to the leaders in the industry. These can be leaders in your own organization or leaders who have written books on the subject matter. You can listen to the leaders in your business and shadow them as they prospect with others. This will help you to learn the secret techniques they use to close the sale and bring people in the business. If your business offers conference calls, get on them as often as you can. Schedule them into your calendar.

Step 10: Getting Into Action Mode: Now that you’ve completed the above seven steps it’s time to start making some money! Get Into Action Mode! See a previous article I wrote "Stay In Action Mode". Remember step 2, goal setting, achieving your first level of promotion within the business? By now you should have set a date to accomplish this. Now everything you do is geared towards meeting that goal. After you meet that one, you set the next one, then the next. This is how you will succeed in your new business. Be in action everyday, doing something towards the success of your business. Find a way to fit your business into your daily life and routine. I’ve been told that anything you do for 21 days, becomes a habit. Make it a habit.

Soon you will know your business inside and out, like second nature. You will be able to eat, sleep and think your business. Your business will become a part of who you are. Others will see it and they will see your enthusiasm. This is how others become successful in this industry. People will purchase your product or service because of you, not because they really like what you have to offer. It’s you, then it’s because your product or service can benefit them in some way.
