Double French Braid
Give a new dimension to your face by learning how to French braid you own hair.
- Wash your hair but don't use a conditioner. It will only make your hair more silky and unmanageable for these braids. Separate your hair into two sections, right down the middle. Tie the left section with a scrunchie, because we will first concentrate on the right side.
- Make 3 sections and keep the top middle section in your left hand and the right section with the right hand. Hold the left section with left pinky finger. Lift the middle section from the front hairline (if you don't have bangs).
- Pass the right section over the middle section and hold it with your left hand. Hold the middle section with your right hand and take the left section over the middle one so you can hold it with the right hand. Leave the old right section now.
- Repeat this process continuously till you reach the end. Make sure you use strong hands and keep pulling (not so much that hair breaks) on the strands.
- Once you reach till the end, take a colorful ribbon to fasten the braid. You will repeat all the steps on the left side.
French braid on black hair looks absolutely divine. Before you start, always moisturize your hair and scalp. Now it's time for cool black hair braiding styles.
- Brush your hair and remove all the knots. Make three 3 inch wide sections and hold left section with left hand, and right section with right hand. The middle section can be held with the middle finger of either hands.
- Take the right section, cross it under the middle section to the left side, and hold it with your left hand.
- With your right hand, you will grab the middle section in it. This will be your new right section.
- Repeat step #2 on the left section. Take the left section, cross it under the middle section to the right side, and hold it with your right hand.
- Continue till you reach the ends of your hair, leave an inch in the bottom, and fasten it with colorful scrunchie.
A quick and easy way to create an inside-out or reverse French braiding.
- Brush your hair to disentangle them and spray some water or hair spray, so that you won't be left with any lose strands.
- With the help of a rat tail comb, section your hair and start the braid at the crown. Pull and divide three even sections of hair away from your head.
- Keep two sections of hair in your left hand and one section in your right hand. With the right hand section going under the middle section, grab that section with your left hand.
- Now the far left section that's in your left hand goes under the new middle section (previously the right section). Make sure you pull the strands tightly for a better finished look. Both sides (left and right) will always go under the middle section.
- Keep repeating the process of bringing both left and right sections under the middle section (alternating both sides).
- As you work your way down, you will notice that your braid has a more fuller dimension to it, as compared to a flat look. Once you're at the very bottom, leave an inch of hair and fasten with a cute scrunchie or colorful hair accessories.
