How to Fix Washing Machine Balance
Do you witness your washing machine dancing or moving across the floor, while in use? Well, here is how to troubleshoot this problem.

Checklist to Fix Washing Machine Balance
Washing machine troubleshooting may sound a difficult task to accomplish. However, the task may not be too overpowering and may not consume a lot of time.
Level the Washing Machine
When the washing machine keeps rocking and flocking the nearby vicinity of its original position, you may use a standard level to fix the trouble. Place the level on top of the washing machine. If the air bubbles stay stable and undistributed, there is no innate washing machine balance problem. If the washing machine is tilted and needs to be balanced, the side that is off-balance will be indicated with the air bubble in the leveling instrument. Make the proper adjustments by resetting the legs of the machine.
Readjust the Legs
Sometimes, the legs of the machine may have loosened and it is due to this reason that the washing machine may wobble, or shift. Tighten or loosen the screws that go with leg of the washing machine appropriately and test the stability of your machine with a balance. Make it as stable as possible.
Check the Floor Leveling
Areas in your house may not be perfectly leveled and if the washing machine is placed on the site where the floor level is not even, the washing machine may keep rocking. You may notice that the washing machine may not be able to maintain balance even when it is not working. Place it where the leveling is no problem, to check if the placement is accurate by taking several readings with the level. You may exert some weight on the top of the washing machine by placing your hands on the washing machine cover to check its stability. If it wobbles from anyone side, your flooring is still not compatible with the machine. If it stabilizes, the problem has been solved!
Look out for Clothes Distribution and Overloading
The washing machine may go off-balance when it is overloaded. When the washing machine basket has crossed its capacity to hold the number and weight of clothes, the problem of balance is bound to occur. Towels, jeans, pants can be heavy and sometimes the laundry weight can become too overwhelming. It is imperative that you distribute the weight evenly into the laundry basket. However, during the spin process, the clothes are bound to pile up on to one side, making the washing machine go off balance. Overloading? If you feel that the laundry introduced into the tub is overloading the tub, it would be wise to remove some clothes from the tub and then switch on the washing machine. You may put those clothes into the washing machine when it is done with one complete wash, rinse and spin cycle and is ready to take on another load.
Clean the Tub
Due to constant usage of the machine, the tub may get clogged, which in turn, may affects the laundry and the performance of the machine by making it work with the weight of the laundry as well as accumulated water in the tub. No wonder the balance of your machine is going haywire. It is required that you remove the tub and clean its peripheries with a brush and a cleaning solution. See if it yields a powdery substances responsible for the trouble. Acid based solution work well, however you may look out for more options that are safer for you to handle.
