How To Design 4th of July Party Invitations Like A Pro

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with a party! Betty Rose had the right idea sewing the Flag why not honor her too and make homemade 4th of July party invitations.
The ideas for making 4th of July party invitations are endless from the American flag invitation to the spectacular fireworks display invitations.

Choosing a theme to base your invitations around is the hard part. Of course, you could always combine a few of your favorite themes.

Here are some of my favoriest invitation ideas that you can design at the home:

American Flag Invitation - You will need red, white and blue paper. Some very small gold star stickers. Scissors, glue and glitter is optional. You can make the invitation by simply coloring a white piece of paper and adding a flagpole or you can get a little more creative and cute stripes of the red, white and blue paper and attach it to another piece of white paper. It’s a very simple 4th of July invitation to make but it stands for independence and respect and is a good idea.

Fireworks Display Invitation - You can draw on your colorful lines or dotted lines to represent the colorful fireworks or use glue and colored glitter to create a one of a kind masterpiece, whichever you decide I’m sure it will capture your guests attention.

Uncle Sam Hat - One of the 4th of July party invitations that is a bit harder to craft. You will need construction paper, red, white, blue, and small gold stars.

Start by using a medium size plate to trace the bottom of the hat. Then glue strips of white and red (alternating) on a piece of white paper and roll it so it meets in the middle, you can either tape it or glue it closed. Using a piece of blue construction paper (thick strip) put your gold stars along the bottom. You will now need another red circular part, using a small plate trace and cut out your circle.

To put the hat invitation together; using the large red circle as the base of your hat set the alternating red and white tube you created on top of it and attach with glue. Then attach the blue small piece to the bottom on the tube and the small red circle to the top. You now have a 4th of July invitation in the form of Uncle Sam’s hat.

Write your party information on the top and around the bottom of the hat.

Military Solider - For this 4Th of July invitation you will need a cut out of a male and female solider (or a simple cute out of each gender) using a thick piece of white paper (card stock) cut out your solider.

Using colored pencils or markers give them a uniform, face, some hair a set of dog tags, write the party information either on the front or on the back. You can send the female guests the woman solider and the male guests the male solider.

4th of July party invitations are a wonderful way to start the day of celebrating. Following the theme of your invitations, you can create nice decorations as well.
