Method
Wash and condition your hair as usual, but do not dry it completely. A little towel drying would do. In case, you do not want to wash, spray your hair with water using a spray bottle. Part your hair as per your normal parting and comb your hair with a wide toothed comb, until it is free of knots. Decide the length of the hair that you would like to cut, probably an inch or an inch and a half to start with. Draw out a small section of your hair using the fine toothed comb and hold it out, separating it from the rest of the hair. Mark the point where you would like to cut your hair by placing it in between your index finger and middle finger. Using a pair of scissors or shears, cut only about half an inch at a time, to make sure you are cutting it right. You will need to hold your head straight without tilting it. After each cut, examine the length and evenness of the cut hair. Repeat this procedure for both sides of the head, as well as the back. Try to finish one side first, rather than alternating. Make sure all of the hair is at the same length at the end of it. Blow dry and set your hair with the help of a round brush.

Comb your hair wet with a wide toothed comb, straight back. Collect the top section of your hair and bring them in front of the face, just above the nose.
