Cook Rice in a Pot
- In a deep pot, place 3 cups of jasmine rice and rinse under cold water.
- When the water is running clear, add water or stock to the rice so that it rises at least an inch above its level.
- To measure, you can dip your index finger inside and the water level should reach your second line on the finger.
- Add a pinch of salt, turn on the stove, and place the pot on high heat.
- Once the water begins to boil, turn the heat to low and cover the pot.
- Cook the rice till the water in the pot evaporates and the rice is cooked.
- Turn the stove off and wait for 5 - 10 minutes before you uncover.
- Before you serve the rice, use a fork to fluff it a bit and serve hot.
- In a bowl, place 3 cups of jasmine rice and rinse under cold water.
- When the water is running clear, transfer the rice into the rice cooker.
- Add 3 cups of water or stock to the rice and place the cover on top.
- Turn the rice cooker on (make sure you know how to use a rice cooker and have read the instructions beforehand).
- After you set the timer, depending on how many cups of rice is being cooked, the cooker will turn itself off once done.
- Wait for at least 5 - 10 minutes before you uncover the cooker.
- To serve, fluff the rice with a fork and serve with your favorite dish.

- Don't uncover the lid for at least 5 - 10 minutes. To serve, use a fork to fluff the rice. The jasmine rice is ready to be served with your favorite dish.
