• Posts (4"x4"x8')
• Concrete (24 bags)
• Pre-hinged gate
• Deck screws (2") and post hole digger
• Wheelbarrow and pneumatic drill
• Saw, hammer and level
• Measure tape and pencil

Procedure for Building Wooden Fence

• Start from a corner of the wall by placing the first post with the help of the post hole digger. Mix the concrete in the wheelbarrow and fill the post hole with it. Level the hole before the concrete starts to dry.
• Repeat the procedure for the next post as well. Make sure that the distance between both the poles is exactly 8'. Take the 8' fence panel and place it accordingly over the posts. Continue with the same procedure for the entire distance of the yard.
• Make sure to place 4"x4" post on each side of the gate that you will install later on. When you finish installing all the posts, start to install the lumber panels over the posts. Use the pneumatic drill for attaching the deck screws tightly. Use deck screws in adequate form.
• Continue the same process till the end of the yard and keep on cutting the fence panels whenever necessary. But check the distance that is between the final post and the middle of each post. Determine the position of the gate and install it with the help of the 2" deck screws.

The last thing to do is to install the latch and decorate the fence according to your style. But before painting or decorating the wood fence, make sure you check all the loose ends and nails of the fence for the sake of safety, as well as security.

How to Build a Wood Fence Gate

• Decide upon the required length of the wood fence gate and minus an inch from that number. For instance, if you want the fence to be 30"x40" then the actual size of the gate will be 29"x39". Divide the width by the width of the board that you are using to make the wood fence gate.
• Place the timber on saw horses and cut it in the exact measured size. Place the timber boards the way you want your gate to look like. Use screws for the cause. Flip this built structure over and add the hinges at the back of the gate.
